I am a 16 year old boy , new to entrepreneurship and startups , I just got this idea and what advice and suggestions from you all , please help me with it. I would like to learn from more from you all , please guide me through it.
Here it is -
CompenSwap (Startup Name ):(B2B)-
There are many cases of burnouts in India mainly affecting the working classes(a data shows that 190 million people are the victims).Often this leads to bunking of office days by workers in various fields and many going for a break takes holidays that affect company work and at the same time these employees cannot be fired , so their work comes to a stall , idea is that an app or website ( initially) will let consumers (mainly businesses) to acquire employees for short term with same attributes as their existing employees ( who left the work temporarily) and small but important work may be given to the ones acquired through our startup like minimal computer tasks, etc. Time may be from 1 hour to 1 day and so. Money will be paid on their work done , time, etc.
This can help corporates to a large extent and even the ones who are skillful freelancer but are not getting enough work to sustain living.
It is still in ideation phase but would like your advise and please suggest if it can be made better.
I would say that what you're talking about is pretty similar to a temp agency, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It shows that there is an industry and market for what you're talking about. You could validate the idea with a simple website and manually look for the temps yourself for the first businesses that reach out (or do it yourself), just to see if there's a market.
You'll have to deal with paying people as part time employees so you'll probably have to talk to an accountant. Overall it seems like a complex idea. Maybe you can focus on a specific industry first to make the scope a bit more manageable.
I agree with @stpstaley, I think you identified a problem that affects companies and came up with a possible solution. Next step you should see whether the problem and your solution are a good match, for example by setting up a quick website and talking to people who faced the problem you identified. Collect feedback from them, etc. Most importantly, asked them how they solved the problem already, what worked and what didn't.
In my view, there's a high chance your idea is not new, since temporary work is very common, not only because of burnouts, also when you have spikes in demand, and need to quickly adapt.
The fact that something already exists doesn't mean you can't also do it, but then your strategy will be different.
So, if I were you, I would start by truly understanding the problem and current solutions. Perhaps you see that there's a specific niche with problems unsolved, maybe you find out this problem is persistent throughout companies, etc. So, step by step.
Another thing you can consider is to focus on burnout people and what needs they have which are unmet. If they are burnout is because of their employer practices, and thus there may be a lot to gain there as well.
