Please roast my landing page

Good morning indie friends!

My name is Philippe and I just started offering my services as a freelance software developer.

Why?

Last December, I did quit my job as an IT manager when my employer flushed the agreement we had over remote work. As I started looking for work, I figured that I would be as hard to find a job as it would be to find my first customer. In the end, I would offer the same skills to solve the same problems.

What?

Companies generally need multiple systems to support their daily activities. Smaller ones don't have ERPs, so they will usually use Excel spreadsheets to store inventories, customer leads, equipment information and so on. At a point, someone will have to transfer manually the information into the accounting system or between spreadsheets.

Bigger companies will move to an ERP wishing for the system to eradicate data transfer from one system to the other. But ERPs doesn't cover all the bases. At one point, they'll also use some specialized SaaS for their operation. You can think of dispatch systems, CRMs or other software offering functionalities that are not provided by the ERP. Again, someone will have to transfer manually the information between the systems.

At a point or an other, these companies require custom bridges, hand crafted software that would fill the gap between those systems. This is exactly where I can add value for these businesses.

Who?

I help any businesses who suffers from manual data entry to automate their data entry processes. By giving low value tasks to a machine, employees can spend their time on high value tasks.

Feedback

I would be grateful for your time if you could have a look at my landing page and give me some feedback about the content, as well as the look and feel from the page. All constructive comments are welcome.

I had to scroll quite far down the page before seeing what you offer. Too many words. Perhaps some of that belongs in long form case studies?

The style looks like it's out of the 00s and not in good way.

The typing thing is cool, it actually demonstrates the problem. However it is currently hard to read.

I don't see what your name is or who you are on the page. There doesn't seem to be anything that inspires trust.

Thank you very much for your comments, I truly appreciate them.

I would suggest you to search for the landing page design, there are plenty of free templates.

Or even go with landing page builder. So you'll "drag-and-drop" most elements and do little of code. In most cases, those elements are quite aligned between each other in terms of design. So your site will look more "professional".

I would suggest you to go with Mailerlite, they are mailing service, but they also have ability to build "drag-and-drop" landing page on their free plan.

Thank you very much 23sergej for your comments. I'll make sure to have a look at Mailerlite and familiarize myself with their offering. Looking forward to present my next iteration.

      Thanks again for your suggestions.

The typography looks a bit off plus the graphics are not welcoming. In total, your website lacks finishing.

Thank you roh31 for your comments.

You are absolutely right! It lacks finishing, coherence... its not mobile first... there's a lot going wrong with this first draft. I'll make sure to build the next iteration upon your feedback.

Thanks again for your input and for pushing me in the right direction!

    1. Page on http and not on https is going to be hard to trust imo.
    2. See if you can use free ready made templates. There are so many you can find that fits your liking and is more modern.

Thank you Vivekin for your comments.

I was scared for a moment when you said the site is not https, but I checked again this morning and I have a certificate for this domain and https seems alright. Could you give me more info on what you mean?

I'll have a look at ready made templates for inspiration. I think there are many steps I overlooked when I started working on this. I learn a lot!

Thanks again for your feedback as it is greatly appreciate!

http://www.altsens.com/ - See this. It should not be available on http. It should redirect to https. Chrome gives you a warning that the page is not secured.

I would suggest to find a template and use it so as to move quickly. Try to save time and effort where you can. Focus on the core idea.

Thank you vivekin for your suggestions. I went with a new template, a domain name which is more aligned with my services and I fixed the https issue with the .htaccess file.

Looks much better. "Hire Me" button does not work. But other stuff looks good.

Just got that fixed. Your feedback was much appreciated.
