OMG! I love the big gif that shows the software being used. More sites should be doing this. Clear value proposition. I just signed up. Building treemaps of ideas and noting things down in hierarchical way is something I've been meaning to build for a long time.

I think I'd love to see more examples of how you'd use this with clients and other use cases. Like is it collaborative like figma, multiple people editing a tree and building out ideas. Does it work offline e.t.c

Currently, there is no realtime collaborative function, but that is a really cool idea! If you were to use this tool to build Idea-maps, it would be a major advantage for teams to build them together.
For now, if you need to get that job done, both MindMeister and mind node support notes and links in each node. However, they are not realtime. Miro has a realtime collaboration of building mind maps, but they don't support notes and links in the nodes.

Hey, thanks John! 🙌😊 That's a great question! Well, this product arose from my own problem. I built a personal skill tree in a mind map tool to help plan and focus my learning. I'm a curious and disorganized person, and I have a habit of trying to learn too many things at once. I mapped out my skills and forced myself to only focus on 3 skills at one time. The rest I marked as "to learn later" with a 🏁. I kept using this for years, as it helped me stay focused. Later I found another useful way to use my skill tree. As I came across articles and youtube videos that were related to one of my skills, I could simply paste the link to the skill it belongs to in the tree. That way, when I have to perform that skill, all my discoveries are ready for reading. Before stray articles like this broke my flow because my curiousness didn't want to "lose" that article I found. This was a source of anxiety. Before that, I tried to store articles like this in Pocket, but it quickly became too much in the backlog to handle.

I had to read/scroll the page twice to find out what it's about. At first, I thought it would be a tool to organize and study my knowledge.
For the top of your site: what about something along the lines of Show your knowledge or Tell recruiters all the things you know?

Ah, you thought this was a mind map tool. I guess I have some more work to do on the landing page. 😅🤘
That being said, mindnode is only for ios and mac. A web based solution could definitely fly. See how figma.com is driving a revolution in design even though Photoshop and sketch have been around for ages. In online world you can collaborate and there is nothing to install.
Don't give up hope because there is a competitor.
