tidalbase is an AI-powered co-working platform that connects learners/developers working on the same tech challenges (MOOC, coding problem, tech stack) for a 1:1 session
Created this based on my own pain of needing to verbally talk through problems.
What should I improve?
Looks, great! My feedback is less on the landing page and more on the onboarding flow. I signed up and created an account but man there are a lot of questions to fill out. Could it be streamlined in some way? Then when trying to find an E-learner I had to answer more questions.
Just got a notification from your chatbot saying it would be best to wait till the 19th Dec when there will be more people online. I guess this is the issue with trying to build a networking app. Only really works when you have thousands of users online at the same time.
In short, I love the idea and the execution is great, keep up the good work! Looking forward to using it when there are a few more people online ;)
Hi @rubberducker Thanks for taking things further and going through the onboarding process. That's really great feedback. I will look at how we can reduce the questions. Especially since your motivation is just that you want to get matched with a fellow E-learner. The initial questions provide us with a lot of background that makes it easier for us
Absolutely right about the chicken and egg problem of networking apps. Luckily we have a number of big influencers and communities that love the concept and will help us get the word out on a big scale.
Hi,
I know there is no such thing as “universal taste” – what appeals to one person may not appeal to another - but for me, the initial impression of the homepage which sticks is of a very large area of uninspiring and dull colour – dark blue/purple. It feels claustrophobic.
The imagery of people smiling and engaging is definitely appealing, but it feels tiny and overwhelmed by that large monochromatic swathe of dull colour.
I’d begin with a big, bright, simple headline highlighting the benefits, which is what people want to buy. I think this is a great benefit you mention: “ Get to the solution faster” (your capitalisation is “Faster”, which looks wrong). Also “Find a matched-for-you co-working buddy in 10 minutes” is s great benefit headline.
But, those main benefits are hidden three scrolls below the fold. Your present lead of “Work alongside a fellow developer” is much less interesting. Your target customers probably already do work alongside a developer – they don’t need your site to do more of that. They need your site to help them solve problems or learn faster.
I also found the use of several different coloured fonts, together with strikethrough fonts in the same sentence visually disorienting. Try to express your marketing message simply and clearly, using plain sentences.
There are two different languages in use on your site. Most are in English, but this is in German: https://www.tidalbase.com/impressum. That needs to be fixed – one language or the other, but not both.
Overall, I think you have a good idea, and it has clear benefits which people would pay for, but your website is obscuring those benefits and their value.
Hope this frankness helps – it’s intended to!
A really fundamental comment: It looks great. But… maybe TOO great? I was so entranced by the beautiful, very compelling, rapidly changing video that I literally couldn't drag my eyes to the left to read the text. (I tried, repeatedly.) Of course, if I were super committed, I could have summoned the superhuman strength. But do you really want to make it that hard for the visitor to pay attention to the REAL content?
Less empty space at the top section of the page! Looks great other than that.
Looking good! Here's my feedback:
I have some suggestions.
Overall, your website is pretty good, and if you took care of these, it would be better.
Speaking of websites, mine is currently in progress and will be up soon. I'm developing an AI API that allows users to run our AI models on the cloud and I'd love feedback on the website once it comes out.

Hi @RichardGao thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate your feedback!
We tried to go to a lot of effort into explaining the product as I do think that it's one of those things you need to use in order to feel the benefits.
Definitely going to be reworking the text and making the font bigger. Thanks!
Looking forward to your launch, followed you on twitter, definitely sounds interesting
I add some feedback on design, you can se on the image below.
Overall, it looks great, copy is good, I can understand easily what you are offering.
I see that I can try it for free, but not sure how much it cost, don't see any pricing.

Hi @JotaPanotive Wow thanks for the detailed feedback! We held back on showing the pricing seeing as we convert for the different currencies. But based on your feedback, we'll be sure to just show the US $ pricing options.
Here are some of the thoughts I had looking at your landing page:
I think the colors on the page are not bad, but I would make some changes to improve the user experience.
I would reduce the amount of written content on the page. Too much text can be overwhelming for users and they may lose focus on the key points of your product. I would be more concise in general.
I would not center the text on the page. Centered text can be difficult to read and can make the page feel unbalanced. Instead, I would align the text to the left or right of the page to make it easier for users to scan and read.
I would increase the size of elements on the page, such as the text and videos/images. This will make the page feel less empty and will help draw the user's attention to the important information on the page.
Overall, I think these changes would make your landing page more user-friendly and engaging. Good luck with your relaunch! Let me know if you have any other questions or need any further feedback.
Thank @MDrelli ! The "too much content" feedback is coming through loud clear. Getting a copywriter to help with this. Great idea to increase the size of the images!
Thank you for helping an landing-page-aesthetics-challenged indiehacker!
