Please totally destroy my landing page

Hey everyone

I've started work on a new side project and would love to get as many opinions as possible on my new landing page:

https://meetingwarrior.com

Please feel free to be blunt, I am open to all feedback but some specific questions I have:

  • Is it clear what the product is? Where would you like more detail?
  • I've just realised I don't have a logo at the top of the page, does it look weird or can I get away with it?
  • Any ideas on how I can provide comfort to users logging-in and sharing access to their calendar? I want to show their data is safe!

Thanks a lot in advance

Maybe add a drop shadow at the bottom of the header image. Right now, the white from the screenshots bleed into the white of the background color below.
Also the margin of the different sections from the outside edges is appears to be different for each section. Would be worthwhile to have the left/right margin of each section be the same.

Good ideas Kamal - thanks for the comment!

I've added a drop-shadow and think it looks better now. Agree on the margins, I've reshuffled a few things and it should now be consistent - think it makes it's easier to read on widescreens.

Maybe it's me personally, but the BLUE button on a red background clashes. I would make that button (hero) white with red or blue text. It would still look like the main CTA because the other button is just an outline. That, or pick a dark or super light blue that would work with the red. Other than that the the way you are using color works well on the landing page.

Thanks Matt for the comment, yes I think you're right - have just changed the top blue button so it is solid white (with red text) and it goes together slightly better now. Happy new year!

Hi Oliver, I've looked at your revised landing page.

There is still room for improvement in the usage of font-size and font-weights. I would recommend using a minimum font-weight of 400 for paragraph text and 500 for headings text.

The layout needs some work, too. Here is just a quick sketch of what's possible just with the right font-sizes and and weights and some colors:

Thanks Arslan for the comments! The sketch was really helpful and I've made an alternative version in the link below. Let me know your thoughts - do you feel it works better?

        Looks great.

Some more suggestions for Hero section:

        1. Increase the font-size of WARRIOR logo text and Login text in the navbar. Give some margin from right and left, too.

        2. Increase font-size of h1.

        3. Do not use equal top and bottom padding on buttons, it does not look centered. Decrease some from top or bottom to make the text look more centered.

        4. Use big negative margin on the product showcase image so that it overflows the hero section.

        5. Use rounded borders for buttons as the image also has a rounded edge.

        Hope this helps!

It does help, massively. Thanks a lot!

            Always happy to help.

On mobile, the main heading is too big and the smallest text is too small.

The first picture on the page looks very generic IMO.

The images in the use cases section look clickable because of the shadow but they aren’t.

Had to read the collaborative agenda part multiple times to get it. Maybe make that one clearer.

    Hope it helps ✌🏻

Thanks a lot, super helpful feedback. Top of my list of things to do is to replace the first image! I've adjusted the font sizes and reworded the collaborative agenda text, agree it wasn't clear before.

I wouldn't know your name if it wasn't for the URL, which I can deduce "meeting warrior". So I'm not sure you can get away without a logo or at least visual name.

Thanks a lot for commenting! I've now added a small logo to the top.

Wow! went back and looks like you made some great revisions! Well done, much stronger!

Thanks so much, everyone has been super helpful!

"Conquer your meetings with collaborative agendas, meeting notes and calendar analytics."

    Too general, not specific enough.

I guess the other part of the problem is 'Meetings Suck'. What about meetings suck? Maybe that should go above the fold. I also think it will help you get more specific about what you're solving.

Thanks for the comment - I've tried changing it to "Collaborate on meeting agendas & notes, and better manage your calendar". Let me know if you think I can still do better..!

    I hope I wasn't too harsh. Here's my walkthrough! https://www.loom.com/share/4a92ff34801b4b3da511413fa8216da1

    I didn't even notice there wasn't a logo!

This is amazing and super helpful - thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time. As you were commenting I kept nodding in agreement.. think it’s time to make some material updates (particularly to the top)!

I've just made some relatively substantial edits following the awesome advice on this thread. Thanks again everybody for the help!
