Please vet my startup idea - unlimited SOPs, Ops Manuals and process mapping
Hi everyone. Please vet my idea and let me know if you think anyone would be interested in this as a service.
My idea is to provide business systems mapping as a service. For a monthly fee I will produce unlimited SOPs for your business processes to create a full operations manual for your business. You can request one process to be mapped at a time and the turnaround is between 24 and 48 hours. The service is fully remote. You record yourself sharing your screen and carrying out the process, talking it through as you go. I then create the SOP from your recording.
What problem does this solve?
Everyone knows that they should capture their processes. But it's boring, it's never seen as a value add and the longer you leave it the more complicated it becomes.
The problem is that if you don't have your processes captured you can't:
- Delegate tasks
- Hire new staff
- Scale the business
- Automate repetitive tasks
- Remove yourself from the day to day to work on growing the business
- Sell the business for what it's worth
Who would this be useful for?
Business owners who have a successful business (more than 10K month on a regular basis) who want to grow but are swamped with operations
Business owners who want to sell and need to provide an ops manual to the new buyer
A business buyer who has bought a business that doesn't have an up to date ops manual/ any ops manual and needs to capture the departing owners knowledge
