Please vet startup idea: Crowdsourced catalog of online courses

There are a plethora of online courses available with various levels of quality and cost, but it seems to be quite challenging to find the best courses that match what you're looking for.

To solve this problem, there should be a crowdsourced catalog that spans the entire spectrum of options that makes this search easier. Basically a Yelp for online courses.

For example after spending quite a bit of time searching for a computer vision course, the best course I found for my particular learning goal was not actually on any of the online learning platforms like Coursera or Udacity, it was scattered across YouTube lectures and a course syllabus on a University website.

A crowdsourced website could catalog online courses and their features like cost, duration, graded, etc, with starred and comment reviews. In the computer vision course example above, since it is such as high quality free course, it would likely bubble up to a very high ranking and be very easy to find.

If you're on a similar learning journey or thinking of starting one, have you run into the same problem?

If you like the idea and want to help validate it, reach out via email or twitter DM - I'm looking for potential collaborators.
