Plumber from UK building an AI plumbing parts finder 🔧
I’m a plumber from North Scotland building PlumbSnap after years of dealing with the frustration of identifying plumbing parts, finding the correct names for them, and wasting time going back and forward to suppliers.
The goal is to help tradespeople identify parts faster from photos or descriptions, improve on-site support, and provide plumbing/trade support for fault finding and second opinions on jobs.
I’ve been using AI tools to help me build and shape the project while combining it with real trade experience and knowledge from working on the tools full-time. I’ve shown the early prototype to co-workers and fellow tradespeople so far, and the early impressions and feedback have been really positive.
I currently have early access and a free trial open for people wanting to test it out. I’m open to both good and bad feedback and looking to take in as much information as possible to help improve the tool further.
