Podcasters: main pain points

Hey all

As a seasoned podcaster with a penchant automation, I've built processes around several components of my podcasting business. In over 6 years of running Epicenter, we've iterated around several tools created a custom workflow for planning, scheduling, recording, editing, and publishing interviews.

Today, I'd like to turn this workflow into a product for indie podcasters like myself.

To test my hypothesis, I'm looking to hear from other indie podcasters and learning about:

  • How old is your podcast?
  • How many hosts are on your show?
  • What hosting platform do you use?
  • How big is the team that creates the show (hosts, editors, designers, writers, etc.)?
  • What is the format of your show (interviews, host panels, just you, or other formats)?
  • Do you record remotely, face-to-face, or both?
  • How do you monetize (ads, donations, freemium content, etc.)?
  • How you promote your podcast?
  • (bonus/optional) Approximately how big is your audience?

And the million dollar question
What are the main pain points you face as an indie podcaster?

Thanks!
