Poke holes in this idea: Content as stocks

Idea:

Platform (blockchain or centralized) that allows social media creators to turn their content into stocks.

How it works:

Creator makes YouTube or TikTok video.

Sells 100 "shares" of that video.

Each share gives the holder a percentage of ad revenue from that video.

For example, say the video goes on to make $5,000 on YouTube. Each share would give the holder $50.

Shares can be resold on the market at any time. Creator can set it up so that they get a percentage of each secondary sale.

Buyers can now invest in videos they think will go viral. Creators sell shares for instant, upfront revenue + recurring revenue from secondary sales.

Result: Creator economy becomes significantly more profitable. Fans can now monetize that "oh, this is going viral" instinct. Imagine scrolling through TikTok with the ability to "invest" in a video with a single click.

(NOTE: Yep, this is essentially an NFT, except I don't think it has to be decentralized to work. Also, aside from Royal.io - NFTs w/ royalty shares for songs - no one is doing this for the broader creator economy)
