Possible for ChatGPT to provide references for factual claims in output?

I realize that ChatGPT generates conversational output based on a huge amount of information. My question is whether it is even feasible to reveal sources for information in the output, perhaps in a way that would allow a user to hover over a sentence and see URLs for the source information?
