Hi again :)
I'm working on a resource for folks who want to get tested, first for my state, Michigan, then maybe expanding to other states.
Heres the flow:
I have a cough and am worried its COVID-19
I search "get tested for corona virus in michigan"
Right now
A bunch of articles pop up, they're hard to parse through, the steps you take to get tested are unclear. Theres no info about my area.
With the tool
The COVID-19 Testing Directory pops up
I can search my current location and it will show the nearest testing locations
I select one and it tells me the requirements for getting tested
I'm hoping to get something live in the next 3 days. I'm taking tomorrow off my day job for my birthday and am going to work on it.
That makes a lot of sense. Seems like it removes friction. I think friction matters a lot. Even in times like these.
Oh also, it will allow people to submit new testing locations. But they need to be vetted before being added. Manual labor
