A mix between A/B testing and website analytics. Honestly, it's a bit confusing for me. :)
It first says that it's an A/B test tool, but the first features being described are not about A/B testing, but about general website analytics.
It's also not clear for me why I should use this rather than Google Analytics + Google Optimize + Hotjar, they're all free and all very easy to set up when using Google Tag Manager.
Maybe I'm not the right target for this product.

We try to have one tool that covers your needs with a single js.
The biggest difference is that it's easier to use and not bloated as the other tools. Most companies just need a small part of all functionality.

It allows you to track events like form submissions, button clicks etc and see what traffic converts the best.
Indie hackers gets us a lot of page views, but other sites convert at a higher rate.

Thanks - it's not just VR but "XR" (meaning VR + AR + Mixed). Basically it's like Wordpress for Immersive Media - a single scene, instead of single page, that is generated at runtime based on the request.

It totally depends on how you want to use it. Pubb.at is actually more than a place where you can publish blogs. (of course, blogging is also great.) it is about offering a platform for the community to easily discuss certain topics(like a blog).
Before I explain how pubb.at would fit with your product, just to understand your concern better, can u explain a bit more on that hiccup? Like what makes you feel awkward? :)
Ummm that's a good question and it's something I can't quite hit.
I see this app as a sort of live chat app. Like Whatsapp or Facebook messenger. I see it as a place I could invite my subscribers, clients, and supporters to join, but that it'd basically be an open chat group - and not everyone knows each other.
This has to do with the fact I'm blogging and blogs are often times something people engage with or enjoy alone. That being said, there was an amazing time where I was in a room and 2 people who didn't know each other recognized me and came up and told me they have my blog saved in their toolbar on Chrome. That was incredible. They wound up chatting about me very excitedly for about 30mins. THOSE 2 people I could see getting into a live chat, but with the others, I feel it'd be quiet.
It's sort of like video calls during COVID. I'm working with an org with 780 employees. On video calls, there's a silent point - a moment when there are X amount of people on the call and people mute/turn off camera and go silent. THAT'S the awkwardness I'm referring to (I think).

I think you just gave me a great picture of how my homepage didnt do a good job on deliver the juice. It is more like a indie hacker type of discussion forum. It is real-time, but its not like whatsapp.. It's like a slack, but designed to handle discussions like indie hacker. So if u post blog or build a community on there, you wont really have those awkward moments.
I checked out your website, i think it's a really cool one man. IMO you can create an exclusive community on pubb.at for your customers/readers. and you can post topics and related content in the discussion. people can ask questions and have a discussion about it. And they can create their own thread to talk about regarding ur courses and concepts.
It will make your courses a lot more clear, and make it more engaging.

Now that's an interesting angle I didn't think of. As a sort of course support group or something. I could see there being more value in that.
But to be honest, I still have a gut feeling iffyness on it (and allow me to try and explain it):
Okay, so I give course participants a place to talk, chat, ask questions, etc. Then I'll need to buffer it with some engagement stuff to make people feel comfortable, then if people have questions I'm going to need to answer them quickly because otherwise it'll become a quiet support forum thing. But how many of the questions and discussions are going to be people seeking specific technical help? To what extent do I cut off doing it for them? What if I cut it off too early and others see it and then they chalk it up to "he's not going to help me"? Jeez this is sounding like it'd be a somewhat larger thing to manage than I'm anticipating!
These were my thoughts as they came!
I think ur concerns are very real.
You need to create some original content first for them to talk about. this is actually not the hardest. It's actually easier than you think it is. the point is to create contents that your customers want to see(solves their problems)
It will increase your workload, but the return is bigger. As a CEO, my priority is not making money, my priority is to make sure my product is solving the right problem. To understand that, I gotta know my customers as much as i can. What is a better way to know what is wrong with my product than build a community and interact with them? this is especially important for early-stage CEOs.
You want to consistently engage in your community until your customer base are too big for you to do so. validating product and the problem it solves is a constant process. You have to do it until the end of ur product life. But if one day you are too big to engage all of them, you wont have to worry about customers complain about "not helped". becasue the community is there. It's always giving feedback. and you can hire someone to reply for u. But that will be a long way from now.
I like the fact that you think through all the dicisions man, it is a great value.
Great insights. Leave this with me as I scope out this whole course I'm building. The filming is scheduled to start July 2, so there's a lot that needs to be done by then - including figuring out a support system (possibly your app!).

For now I'm just communicating everywhere, mostly on reddit and discord. I'm basically just learning for now, letting it take me anywhere, understanding what I even want & need. I know this will not be manageable in the long run, so at some point I'll have to focus and use one. Btw I can't spend much on anything for now given it's completely free.

Before I started? Nope I did zero, but I'm building a better website builder so I think it's fair to assume people need that. I built it for myself so it's ideal for at least 1 person. And at this point I have more users so that box is ticked.
Brilliant question. In the long term I think developers and power users would benefit from having a community to discuss how to do things, but in the short term I'm focusing on the website builder not the underlying platform. And I'm not even sure they need a community. They need a tutorial and maybe a reddit style forum where they can ask things but not necessarily a community.
Now I'm wondering what is even considered a community. What are the rules and forces. Can you recommend some resources or books where I could read about this topic? You just made me realize I don't even know what questions to ask. Thanks for that!
hey zupa, i hope i didn't confuse you haha. this is good, I made you ask yourself the hard question. I do that a lot to myself.
First of all, I recommend doing a lot of customer interviews even after you had some users. Building a product or community requires constant feedback to discover and validate the problem that you are solving. I hate to say this but I have done better, but ppl didn't want my stuff. The point is to solve the problem that people have.
A community is where people get together and enjoy doing the same thing. (simply speaking. but people often have different definitions) I think a platform for your users to interact is a good thing for you. Like u mentioned u can put tutorial and people can easily ask questions and even be answered by another user.
For resources on community building, I think in IH there are a lot of juice contents. you can always follow some dude like @8bit. He is very good at it and he wrote a lot of good blogs on it.
I haven't published a lot of stuff online yet, but I am planning on it next month. I am also composing this course where I teach people the basics of building a community. and offer them a space to help and support each other. I am gonna select a couple people to start that community next month as well.

I was a little confused... is this a plugin or more of an add-on? Are the plugins you mention exclusive to sketchrunner or are these plugins available elsewhere and you just curate them for the user? Also, your domain is sketchrunner, but the name of your product is runner? I would make both the same.
Is speed the only benefit? I feel like the site focuses on "features" as opposed to benefits (other than speed)... might be a good idea to explain how sketchrunner will make you a better designer... maybe something like:

Or something like that... the key is to extrapolate the benefits and what people can aspire to and become by using your product...

Loading Time. I noticed the page took ~15 seconds to load. I stuck with it because I'm helping out a fellow IndieHacker but I prob would've bounced if it were a different site.
"Take Control of Your Content" doesn't articulate the value enough to me. I'm unsure what this website is, what you do, etc. I know what's pretty demanding of a header title, but it's needed. I had a watersport company a few years back and the header was "Paddleboard Lessons & Tours" -- see how descriptive this is? How might you make yours more descriptive?
"With a simpler feed". Ahh so this is a content curation app? Login and Sign Up don't excite me enough. I think wording around "join" would be better. "Join the Club" maybe.
No offense, but I hate that logo! It feels toooo Microsoft Paint! Try getting a logo made on Fiverr :)
The webpage's design is a bit wonky and lacking of content. The font-sizes vary.
The spacing in your footer is a bit off.
I see you listed you're in open alpha which is totally fine, but as I've learned over the years as a marketing person, even your alpha and MVP need to be very polished.
Here are some suggestions:
Light or Dark Mode Website. Do you want your content to be laid back, relaxed, practical, real, no bullshit? I'd go with dark. If you want something more formal, professional, serious, etc, go light.
Fiverr Logo - a simple text logo is fine.

Online keyword research, but I was truthfully a little disappointed in the experience (allow me to elaborate for your).
I'm actually in the market for SEO tools right now and Neil Patel's Ubersuggest recently made a move I don't like - you have to create an account with them to use their app.
Ubersuggest in 2016 was amazing. Neil bought it and I don't like it now.
Here's the thing I absolutely hate: when you sign in, you have to sign in with Google. Part of the deal is you agree to share your data and website information with Neil Patel. That's very valuable data and I don't want to contribute to a massive pool of data for Neil to analyze everyone.
I haven't found a decent tool yet (I've always been inclined to use ahrefs, but have hope there's something better out there), and had hope for your tool.
I was okay with the form pop-up and entering info about my business, but the moment I hit submit, I was prompted to pay $89.00 to view a PDF report. This made me feel different things:
After this, I caught myself quickly concluding "maybe I should just bite the bullet on Ahrefs".
I know this is might be difficult to hear, but I want to be honest with you. I totally understand the ups/downs of doing an online business. I hope this feedback helps - it comes from a good place!

Interesting what you say about providing value before asking for payment. It's something I've thought about and it's seemingly a hard one to get around. I don't want to give away too much upfront, but it sounds like I'm giving away too little now.

Yeah it's a tricky thing to do - I agree. But I think it comes down to the market you're in.
The way other keyword tools have been going is to either (1) give the keywords free (Ubersuggest, Keywords.io, etc) where they have a somewhat low-priced subscription model attached, or (2) make it a SEO solution (including keyword research) and offer a free trial (SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc).
I wouldn't have the expectation to get more for free if the other players in the industry didnt already set that tone.
And owner to owner here, that industry tone of balancing what's free and when to draw the line varies. I've had 3 businesses to date (an app, tourism, and consulting) and the app was pretty much a freemium play, tourism was straight up 'pay to get what we offer', and consulting has been about massively blogging much of our knowledge for free.

Yes that was the idea. I only have a limited amount of time to offer towards creating these reports and I thought a counter would be a good way to show how many I could do for that month. It goes down on each report and isn't fake in any way but now I worry that it's perceived as purely a gimmick.
Does it make sense to you that you're purchasing a single report for $89? Some other users have thought that it was $89 for the number of reports on the counter.
Re the counter, I don't think I've seen one in a while and if Jakob's Law in user experience is one to go by, I'd try to express what you're trying to express in a different way (https://lawsofux.com/jakobs-law for more info). Perhaps copy/CTA suggesting a waiting list/exclusive access/limited supply might do the trick?

I see potential for this app but I feel it has some work to go.
I don't know about other entrepreneurs on here, but the more I dive into my business interests, the more friends I lose. YES, I gain friends online and followers/supporters, but it's not the same as having your buddies to go grab a coffee with on a Friday night.

Just sharing my open thoughts here. When I hear the words "interior design", i was expecting some indoor spaces / portfolio examples.
As I scrolled down and saw the dashboard I started piecing together 'oh wait, this is like an industry-specific management app.
Then I saw the "acquire more leads" which then gave me a second of 'oh they're trying to be everything right from lead generation to dashboards and apps'. The next thought that came into my head was 'well jeez, that's going to be an expensive project to pull off' and 'they'd be looking at building something to the scale/scope of Hubspot'.
Next was the price and I have some more business owner to business owner advice for you there. The audience you acquire who participates in your $0 solution is going to be VERY different than your audience that buys your $5,000 solution. Sure, these are annual prices (and $5,000 is a bit low in my opinion) but with the onset of 'how do I try' and 'whats my cost to commit', it's a bit steep.
I would suggest changing it to per-month pricing with an annual option.
If the plan is to graduate one tier to buying into the next tier, I feel that might be challenging!

I can't give you a one-liner, but I can help you cross out all the words except checkout because those have 0 meaning to me. Try to justify how "smooth" adds value. How "intelligent" adds any info. Etc.
That's why my summary was basically "checkout".

Cheat sheet for web designers and web developers.
I'm on a full HD display and the image doesn't cover the background. Also, some of the text is over the background pattern making it unreadable. And even where the text is not over the bg pattern it is too close. Give more room to breath. If this is a tool for designers, it MUST look good or you instantly loose credibility. I only stayed because of IH.
And hey, this may actually be cool! But it feels so much effort to click on all the cards to see what's behind them. Because there are so many cards, I'm worried about the quality as well. Please rework the UI and add a preview to each card.
I opened only the first 3: color palettes, gradient pattern, gradients.
It confirms my quality worry. At this point I would quit. Don't give me 100s. Give me a few amazing patterns. Subtlepatterns comes to my mind. ( https://www.toptal.com/designers/subtlepatterns/ )

Sorry quality was the wrong word. I'm looking for a word that means extremely curated. I'm sure that's also a matter of taste, so it's hard to get "right".
Indeed you have only a few patterns. I actually looked at the gradients where there are a lot. Let me zoom in on it to give more details.
Re: gradients
I think gradients are very context specific. When I opened it I had an idea that I'm looking for a full screen landing page background gradient. My brand has certain colors and I follow the school of using only a few select colors. Landing on this page, I have no way of adding them which I would find very useful. Seeing gradients with mixed colors is not something I like using. In case they are used, I believe the hue should not change too much to look good. The ones I see at the top change way too much for me. (This is pure taste and style!) They also change too much in brightness in my opinion, making them hard to use in either light or dark context. It would be actually useful to be able to see them in context.
I'm also trying to see how much time it would take me to set up this gradient picker page to use it as a proxy for its well-curated-ness. The reason is that I have seen many such resources and I found none of them useful. The best resource I have seen in this area was Refactoring UI.
So what would appeal to me is if you focused on one thing at a time and nailed it extremely well. But I'm sure I'm not the only type of visitor you get. These are my 2 cents.
Btw, the site looks nice overall. Congrats on it! I'm sorry if I came across harsh, I always ask everybody to not hold back and tell me the bad parts, the good parts don't really help me in any way. Maybe I should not use the same mentality when giving feedback. ^^
Have you seen Tailwind CSS? It makes it almost too easy to create responsive designs, it would make it a lot easier to position the background and the text correctly. Highly recommend it.

I created an account and followed the instructions. A bit clunky in the beginning stages, but I like it. I was intrigued at first because the CTA was "scan you page" which it didn't really do - I pasted it in.
It's like Hemmingway and Grammarly but with a focus on copywriting. I like it and want to keep using it but now I fear I'm going to forget the name of it in the very near future and won't return to it.
This will be a tough challenge to overcome.
I like this though overall. For a moment just now I thought how easy it would be to kick up a copywriting business and just use your tool :)

The way to get someone to remember a name is to either blast them with awareness ads (remarketing ads or just fan it out loud like Monday.com) OR to to it the free/slow way of being consistent and constantly blogging about your app, your journey, your business etc. Sort of like how Casey Neinstat raised awareness about his app Beme a few years back.

An app (not sure if web or mobile) that helps coaches, fitness trainers, etc . manage their athletes and their training programmes. I think it's clear what you guys do, so good job on that one.
My main question would be around whether this is something that works for a particular field - e.g. is this suitable for swimming, cycling coaches or maybe it's more suitable for someone who works at a gym?
It also looks like it will take some effort to set up everything, make sure that the athletes do use it correctly, etc... Anyway, these are a few things that came to my mind.

It looks like a project management tool? The things I can tell after 10 seconds are that you'll be able to save contracts and generate invoices. Although I'm not sure about the generating part. And it has something to do with Trello and Github.

I've been looking for an async communication tool for years
One feature I'd love to have in my communication app: voice messages. That alone could make me use a tool. Especially if the app transcribes the audio too. I'd go crazy for that lol
