Post your landing page and let others describe what your company does!

Does your landing page describe your project well?

  • Visit someone else's landing page for 10 seconds, then come back and tell them what you think their product does.
  • Link to your own landing page, but don't say anything about it.

Thanks for such a useful thread! Well done!

    1. 3

Development centralization, automation and shortcuts. Looks quite useful at first glance.

      1. 1

Thanks a lot for your time! Much appreciated!

    2. 2

It looks like a dashboard for pull requests!

I think some of the verbs on the landing page are a little vague though (Streamline, save time, be more efficient, chill)

The name and image also made me think of hotkeys for software development

      1. 2

Thanks a lot for taking the time and sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated!

        1. 1

          You're welcome! Good luck

    3. 2

I'm sorry I can't tell what is your product after 60+ seconds on the landing page... There is a lot of text, but they all say "general" things. I can't see/tell what the product actually offer.

      1. 1

Appreciate you taking the time. We've taken into account your view and tried to improve - hopefully a bit clearer now!

    4. 2

It improves Pull Request process but I can't quite tell how (it learns to predict my team's commit patterns or something like that?)

      1. 1

Thanks a lot for your time. Very insightful - we've reworked some bits to try and be more explicit.

SQL for Airtable via a synced Postgres database. Actually a nice idea; I'm playing with Airtable right now and am a bit frustrated with the API.

      1. 1

This is exactly what we do! Thanks @nosecroquet for taking a look. We would be honored to help you skip the Airtable API completely :)

        1. 1

Thanks; it's a cool idea, although the problem for me is that I don't do a lot of row-level querying (or updating). Instead I'm trying to figure out if I can programmatically push chunks of data into Airtable for users (authors) to interact with (spoiler; not really).

There are other ways to do it like Google Sheets, but Airtable is just a bit nicer and has better data visualisations out of the box.

          1. 1

Got it! So you are looking for the inverse - pushing data into Airtable with SQL? Duly noted :)

            1. 1

Yeah, and I'm discovering that you can't programmatically control most everything about Airtable except for the data - like, you can't create new shares, or hide columns, and stuff.

Basically I'm looking to give my customers (newsletter subscribers) a clickable link where they can access the detail of the data I am summarising in my newsletter. Currently I am doing this just by providing a downloadable Excel spreadsheet, but I'm finding that Excel freaks out a surprising number of my customers. Soooo, it's gentle pastel colours, and rounded boxes for me, woohoo. I'm not kidding; feedback is that they find Airtable much less confusing than Excel.

      1. 1

        💯 - 3 words. spot on.

Design feedback tool for static images.

      1. 2

Static designs and live urls :). I'm a UX/UI designer and do most of my work in Webflow these days, which means that my clients receive live URLs as their designs. Normally collecting feedback involves a bunch of emails or Google documents, which isn't a very efficient process. Instead you can just paste the URL into Bolt, then the client can click anywhere and leave their comments.

        Built it for myself!

        1. 1

That's super cool. :) Well done!

    2. 1

Fantastic idea, quick design feedback for websites. Do you use any automation?

      1. 1

        How do you mean?

        1. 1

Oh, I mean like using something like Puppeteer to grab screenshots and then apply some machine learning to determine a few attributes.

          1. 1

Interesting - our tool is not designed to be automated in the feedback sense, so not 100% sure on the use case. Would this be to automatically create comments, e.g. 'contrast ratio is not high enough'?

            1. 1

              I'm just brainstorming :-)

I guess anything that can be quantified, or be tested for (maybe accessibility). If you want to chat sometime, https://calendly.com/kirbyshabaga/25-minute-chat-with-kirby

My next thought was: "No prices are quoted, this must be expensive"

      1. 2

Hmm interesting - we do have pricing on every service and we are absolutely not expensive since we cater to low-budgets. However, the prices are on the service pages, not the main page - since every service is priced differently and offers different things
