Post your landing page and let others describe what your company does!

Does your landing page describe your project well?

  • Visit someone else's landing page for 10 seconds, then come back and tell them what you think their product does.
  • Link to your own landing page, but don't say anything about it.

Is it a no code, click and drag, website editor for SaaS businesses?

    2. 1

I'm seeing this first time. SaaS for building websites. "websites that convert" intrigued me but upon scrolling can't find a reason that spoke to how this is achieved.

      1. 1

I would say design, page speed and blogs help you to convert visitors to paid customers.

But maybe that isn't clear. Will look into the messaging more.

        1. 1

And that maybe the case or it could be that I'm not in your target audience. Just something I noticed.

    3. 1

      WYSIWYG easy landing pages.

I'm biased though because I've looked into it before (as the starting point for an admin panel web app).

A browser extension that matches your amazon searches to local merchant options, and allows you to compare?

It’s imgix plus cdn and minifier in one. Love it.

    2. 1

It's well designed and clearly states what it does.

Note "How My Website Load Faster?" Us improper grammar. Maybe "how will my website load faster" or "how much faster will my website load".

Idea for you: let a user paste in a web URL that your service then crawls and generates a static site. So, I could hire a WordPress designer, they build it. Then I take the staging/testing link and plug it into your service to generate the static site.

      1. 1

thanks, I'll fix that grammatical error. I'm thinking about expanding the idea you suggested, user can paste a website URL, we crawl that page and generate a static site. Then show a comparison report for both URLs to see the performance difference

I think that human beings without a right finances for a assignment will have a popularity of being sincerely tough customers. Also you might not have the most inexpensive charges, a few man on Fiverr will, so you will nevertheless want to prove you're exact. Create some kind of financial plan.

I get a bit confused. It says 5 minutes and free, but then I see that there is a Pricing page.

So is it free or not? Or what is free? And how is that different from the paid option.

      1. 1

I appreciate the feedback! It is completely free to use (build your plan and view the recommendations, etc). However, there are financial service providers we included in our marketplace that help people complete the necessary action items depending on areas they need to focus on - these are not always free.

Really glad you made those comments, we will need to determine how we want to communicate this and present it.

HelpDesk solution...via email? or as simple as email? It's not clear to me what the association with email is.

      1. 1

Sure will definitely improve that. We want to position it as simple helpdesk which is as simple as Gmail.

Thanks for your feedback! Here’s mine 😀 (I have the same question as the person above, but my first impression is that it is similar to Upwork but is a bit more custom-tailored):

A guided platform that allows you to swiftly outline & outsource your cybersecurity needs. BlueTeam takes your security requirements and appropriately matches you with a network of trusted professionals.

Some kind of jobs for cyber security professionals, don't know if it's a job board, or like upwork/fiverr.

      1. 1

Thanks for the reply! What would make it more clear that it's project based work, not full time?

        1. 1

You say "project" front and center, but that's all you say on the front page about what type of job board it is.

Broader than that, I feel it's weird to have the front page half for the professional and half for the client. I think it muddles your message and takes up valuable real estate. If you look at Fiverr, Upwork or a job board the front page will be for clients. I would remove anything that is trying to attract professionals from the front page and put it on a dedicated page, and then figure out how best to display your services with your freed up real estate.

In a purely selfish move, how are your articles doing? I'm trying to promote my own project with articles, though I will advertise it in the future. Have you been able to get any traction from the articles you write? Do you post them somewhere or have them promoted in some fashion by authorities in the space?

          1. 1

Great advice! It may take me a bit to rework the font page, and figure out where to put the provider sign up, but I've heard this a couple times now, so it's probably the right thing. Much appreciated.

The articles aren't getting a ton of reads. I'm posting to twitter and linkedin, but don't have a great process ironed out. Honestly, it's mostly to build credibility at this point, not necessarily to drive traffic, although I hope to get there some day.

Good luck with buylocalized.com. I think it's a great concept! One thing that is keeping me from downloading and using, is that I don't use chrome, but probably a bigger issues is I don't like installing browser extensions. Blogs looks great though! What did you use for the social links at the bottom?

            1. 1

I think that's the Monarch Wordpress PlugIn.

Ya I post the blog to Twitter/Medium/Facebook and all together over the 4 posts I think I've gotten 2 reads from those sources. It's something I've been thinking about a large amount. For the moment I'm the same as you, where I'm posting that stuff to build up authority so that if someone comes to my site and wants to see if I'm legit, they can read that and hopefully trust me more.

Are you an authority in your space, do you have any juice in a community? When I was looking into getting users that's the main way people get users. Like "I'm a python programmer active in a discord, I posted my project, everyone knew me and I got 500 installs that day". Stuff like that is the most common story people have about getting users. For us I'm not an authority, honestly all the authorities are our competitors pretty much. So we've had a lot of trouble getting anyone to see our project, let alone sing up or anything.

We've got a new series of posts coming. I'm working with specific companies that manufacture in the US. We are writing articles that talk about their decision to manufacture locally, the pros and cons. Our hopes are that they will tweet/post these articles and we will sort of piggyback off of their trustworthyness.

In general I was too much of an optimist. I thought if I built something cool some people would come, I wasn't thinking thousands would, but some. However it's been a tremendous amount of work to get anyone to even visit the website.

              1. 1

Yeah, it's really hard. No joke!

I'm not an authority in cybersecurity in the way that people have a following and cult of personality haha, but I've worked in the industry for 10+ years and have a few credentials to my name, so people take me relatively seriously. No big audience to leverage though.

I do think that's a story I've heard again and again. Like, I started blogging on this topic ten years ago and became the person in this space, then magically my company took off! Haha.

Presumably that's not how everybody succeeds though...

Yep, that’s a main component of the platform! This thread is pretty useful to me since I sometimes find it difficult to describe the platform concisely — especially since there are other features like automated customer outreach emails, failed payment recovery, etc.

A tactical, structured approach to acing the PMP exam. 900+ page guides can leave you feeling overwhelmed as you try to cram as much information as possible. With the PMP Exam Prep Handbook, spread out your learning — during concentrated study sessions or on the go — and retain longer-term knowledge so that you’re not scrambling to remember on test day.

      1. 1

can you please explain why you think that our website is cheap ? @PayOffWizard

        1. 1

Your slogan. "Digital Marketing That Suites Your Pocket" implies that your main differentiator is your price.

          1. 1

yes we are targeting small local businesses and startups who don't have proper budget for digital marketing n also we are new so we have to do something to attract customers to start our business.

            1. 1

Ya fair enough, it can be tough though. I think that people without a proper budget for a task can have a reputation of being really difficult clients. Also you won't have the cheapest prices, some guy on Fiverr will, so you will still need to prove you are good. It's really difficult to have a business who's main selling point is their price, at least that's what I hear.

              1. 1

Yes at first we have to try our 100% then after some time & experience we also able to grow our business from small clients to big.

A web consultancy. This looks like very standard website. Maybe a bit more character would be nice? Also what's result of one free week trial? One week is along time and investment on both sides. It's a great idea but I think people may wanna see the value of this.

A tool to get user feedback. I don't really have any clue how it works, the pictures didn't illuminate me. But it seems interesting and I'm going to see if it's something we can use.

    2. 2

      Tool for collecting user feedback

Like Trello or Jira board, but open to public, so that users can propose and vote on features themselves.

    1. 1

A landing page builder off a form. If it works it's great, but I have my doubts. These days it's pretty easy to get a decent landing page made for an affordable price. I worry about the quality of one made by a bot.

    2. 1

Landing page generator. It isn't clear if you fill in just a form or if it is a conversational bot that asks you questions and builds a landing page for you.

    1. 1

I don't really know. I know it's about information from medical results, but I have no idea how it's displayed. Hopefully that website is meant for informed people in the industry and not layman.

    2. 1

Is your product a dashboard for medical professionals to check their patients' vital signs gathered by various IoT devices?

If that's what it is, that's so cool! The background under the font made it a little hard to read, but in general it looks great.

      1. 1

Thank you, and yes Doctors use it to monitor their patients' biometric data (blood sugar, blood pressure, weight) for treat patients with chronic illnesses (diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, etc)

    3. 1

Awesome! I'm looking forward for more services like this.

One thing I'm curious about and failed to find information about is in what countries I can use this service? Only US I assume? Second questions: If patients upload data everyday and health providers only need to spend 20 mins every month, are they spending 40 secs per day or they just check received data ones?

      1. 1

great question, so right now its only in the United States and we're not quite direct-to-consumer, but we do hear from lots of patients they'd like to pay to use it just for themselves, but currently we're selling to doctors that prescribe the monitoring for patients with chronic illnesses. health providers need to spend at least 20 minutes / patient / month if they want to get paid by insurance for the service

https://lakebed.io - recently updated to account for all the great previous feedback.

    1. 2

An app to create a data lake?

This can be a hard sell as lot of consulting companies are telling that data lakes are bad and with GDPR and more privacy awareness, I'm sure people are gonna ask how this product will handle those concerns (if you're planning to get to enterprise customer base).

      1. 1

Thanks, the GDPR and InfoSec are actually selling points. My app installs on the server of your choice, so you can set it up in the corner of your office, air-gapped from the internet. It's also relatively easy to delete "all data older the a specific time" or "all data ia specific (email for example) column".

In your opinion, does that address the GDPR and InfoSec?

Thank you so much for taking a look.

I wonder if you could add customer testimonials?

Also, it's a lot of information so maybe breaking it out into "here's what I do" (1-liner) with read more links/buttons? That way people can get a quick understanding of the breadth of your experience and then drill down based on the service they need.

Another thing you might do is "website teardowns" to show how a site might be improved. You could either reach out to potential customers and ask if you can include them in your newsletter or pick sites big enough that they're fair game for a teardown.

          1. 1

It's also too bad that I had to get all the way to the bottom to read that you have 15y experience.

I think you could add a tagline under the logo
            Expressing DESIGN
            15 years building brands

You could update that every year or turn it into a fun counter. Every day of the year it could move a little closer to switching over to 16.
