Does your landing page describe your project well?
I'll buy an IH T-shirt for whoever offers the most helpful feedback. 👀
10 second skim: You run a service that essentially automatically, and manually, scrapes and curates job listings. You then filter them to my preferences and email me regularly for a price I'm not sure of (A few dollars?)
After taking a longer view...
My positives would be:
My criticisms would be:
Overall, I probably wouldn't use the service. I didn't like the price hike scrolling down, and it's hard to commit to paying blindly for a service, when there are so many free job boards out there with email notifications, filtered to your specification, already.
If sign-ups are going well, then feel free to ignore me. But, if I was running your site, I would change the sign-up process so that you simply capture a name and email, and send one free email. That way the customer is already engaged, sign-up is simpler, and it gives users an idea of what you're doing - and if it's good, hopefully they'll stay. I'd change the landing page to suit that kind of sales funnel, make it a bit less wordy in places, and make it more professional (after all, this is career-based stuff), and less smiley faces/emojis.
Just my 2 cents.
You spend money ("a few dollars a month", not mentioning $7 until the bottom) and get a daily or weekly list of remote jobs in certain categories. You don't specifically say "development", but it seems to be all development.
Seems like a really cool service. But does seem like there's a lot of text on the page (especially on mobile). Something like "more job opportunities in less time" seems to be the main value prop, but there's a lot of supporting text there. Also would be great to have some testimonials from folks who found jobs. Given that I'd guess people use the service for a few months and then get a job, it seems like it's hard to get real long term revenue (hopefully I'm wrong here). Perhaps there's a way to offer 2-3 tiers, maybe based on frequency, timeliness, number of categories, or some other metric(s)?
A platform that helps you send personalized emails directly from Spreadsheets via Addon.
Great landing page, the GIF explains it very well!
Thanks a lot!
Making indiehackers life easier by letting you send hundreds of personalized emails from Gmail. The best thing about this add-on is that it delivers exactly what it promises and a bit more! ;-)
Love this idea!
Clean and straightforward. I think you help online communities find corporate sponsorship. I got a little confused on the CTA because I have a company not a community. Maybe "sign up your community for free"? or "find a sponsor"?
Thanks! Definitely love the idea of making the CTA more focused, appreciate the feedback.
My guess is that as a community (like Indie Hackers), you sign up and CommSponsor will find companies that pay to be your sponsors, i.e. pay you to advertise to your community members.
Yup, thats more or less correct. Definitely trying to stay away from 'advertising' and more closely align with 'sponsorship', as I think there is a pretty big difference in how those get presented into a community.
Perhaps a better tagline:
CommSponsors connects companies interested in sponsorship with communities on Slack, Discard, and the web
We do have a company focused tagline on the 'for companies' page, "CommSponsor is the best way to find targeted marketing opportunities through a network of engaged and diverse digital communities". Trying to keep the initial tag line applicable to both communities and companies.
I feel like you need to choose one side of the marketplace on your landing page (either communities or companies). Otherwise you end up confusing both sides and not targeting anyone.
Yeah thats probably true. The current landing page is designed to target the community side, so I'll think about a tagline that fits that side better. Appreciate the feedback!
Monetizing communities- I guess the communities provide talent and projects to the companies that sponsor them.
Sponsored content or some type of sponsorship around communities?
Customer Service platform focused on sponsorhips (?). I honestly didn't understand the sponsor side of it.

A place where I might expect to see collaboratively, albeit lovingly crafted, dick-pics (took me 8 seconds to read the modal).
A game where you can draw and other people can interact with your drawings, like a collaborative drawing tool.
Yep! It’s somewhere between a game, a tool for practice, and a collaborative community. Webcomics are made directly on the website by anyone who joins drawing one panel at a time.
A collaborative drawing tool, focusing on drawing with others.
I really like your call to action of "Draw With Us"
A collaborative drawing tool focused on art practice. Instead of finding someone to draw with, anyone can join and work on your art
After 10 seconds, I got that your product is a drawing tool. Specifically, that it is made for people who want to draw/create comics.
Analysis tools that include 'SEO' which helps boost your website online presence.
Beautiful landing page, but I believe you should include "SEO" in your hero text. Without the domain name, it's not clear.
Also on the hero image, may be a screenshot from a search engine to the computer screen.
I will keep that in mind.
you are welcome!
Looking forward to it! https://sizle.io/
Service to curate content using a trusted set of people.
Improve the ideas together with your team. However I couldn't get how it works within the 10 seconds. I only get to know what's the end result.
An app to weigh and measure your fishing catches, sounds amazing. Shouldn't be free.
Convert live audiences into your email subscriber list. In 10 seconds, I couldn't manage to understand how you did it. Just my idea.
You got it :)
Love this @channingallen!
A great initiative. Thank you!
Calender app for events, without having to manually enter the event details.
Neat idea, would be interesting to know (for a not-yet user), whether it integrates with existing calendars.
Thanks for the response.
More of a tool than a calendar and you will be able to sync to most calendars.
If you want to know more, we can get in contact.
This is awesome, excited to dig in!

Polar adds eBook-like functionality to my PDFs and saved web pages (notes, highlighting, tagging, bookmarks). I was wondering who it was for targeted it at. I found it in the quote, but wonder if a "who Polar is for" section might be good for skimming through the page?
Ah.. interesting. good point.

Prototyping-as-a-service. Cool idea.
Exactly as @andrethegiant said - clearly: "Prototyping-as-a-service". I like the landing page thus far! Only feedback being the globe image 3/4 way down the page seems out-of-place/context.
@scottmathson Ahh yes! I couldn’t think of anything better to put there. Any ideas?
Instagram automation (and CRM?) tool for fitness influencers
This is awesome @Davey
Watching introduction video, looks like signing up/claiming show is a breeze. Feedback is that the "hero section" above-the-fold is a bit text-heavy. Maybe show more with visuals, instead? Perhaps even just moving the pricing tables to index page - https://magnusrush.com/pricing this clearly outlines "what you get".
You've got some amazing features for podcasters in the tool, keep it up!
A tool for podcasters to understand and interact with their listeners.
Big issue here is I had to spend the entire 10 seconds just reading your subheader to understand it. I think instead of "Signup today to", a 5-8 word header would really help here to make it clear straightaway. If there's a specific value prop that offers a lot of utility that isn't provided by competitors, lead with that.
Here's a couple of ideas:
These probably aren't that great, but if you're talking to your users you should be able to take their words and spin them into a good header. Then use the subheader to explain why a podcaster should use Magnus Rush. My understanding is that podcast analytics generally kinda sucks so there should be ample opportunity to stand out with a compelling pitch here if you can deliver on product.
Thank you @Jefro118! And they were great, I am using them :)
I gotta say that I had to look twice to find some titles and leading texts. I suggest to increase font size on the most important phrases, so people can see them on first glance.
Thank you very much!

Thanks, that is correct.

Thank you for commenting. This is interesting as I am no longer focusing on status only. Did you get that due to the emphasis on "online" in the text?

Meta inventory management for keeping multiple sales channel in sync
Thanks! 👍Can I ask what you meant by meta here?
If each of these channels offer inventory management themselves, you are one level up, managing (and syncing) inventory on behalf of them. That’s at least what I got from looking at your landing page. Idk if meta is the right word tbh.

Wow. Web service for tracking paraglider flights.

Find and share a podcast.
I however, find the first part of above sentence much more interesting.
I might be using the search feature later :)
Quick links to podcast overviews. I’m not sure what the added value is though over a “share episode” button in iTunes or Pocketcast
Thanks I should probably adjust the tagline to be more clear that it aggregates all the different podcast links.
Not sure. A url shortener for podcast? Who shares? Podcast listeners with their friends? Or podcast creator with their audience? I’d say, a bit too minimal.
thanks for the feedback. It's a bit of both crowds tbh. Listeners sharing links for free as a lead-generator to attract creators to pay me for premium features
A job board for remote jobs
Yes. It's just not clear that it is only for IT professionals. I will fix that.
A platform for managing quotations
You provide an API that I can add to my app that lets me as a business owner/employee keep track of events as they happen, so that I can react faster to what happens. Presumably to use when people get into trouble with your app but don't have a way to correct; you can then do real-time support? I found the "invoices"/"payments" confusing—is that something you'd track?
That's it. Based on other comments, we are trying to do too many things, and maybe dropping the invoices/payments side of it may be a good idea to avoid confusion. Thanks for your feedback!
Notifications for your products that alert you with errors and other defined alerts?
Edit: I do love the website by the way - you pulled me in way past the 10 seconds
You got it! Thanks for the feedback too 👍
Wow, this is great - I am going to use it.
Awesome! Let me know what you think
Uhm… something with notifications, but I couldn’t understand what exactly, even after spending far more than 10 seconds.
Is it a web hook to set up with Slack, mail etc? 😟
Definitely need to improve on this! I'm thinking now some kind of infographic maybe better - thanks for this :)
Notifications that I can integrate into my app or website to notify me of anything.
I think perhaps your positioning is a bit too vague. Because you're offering notifications for everything and anything, I have a hard time imagining using it. If you picked a few main cases and pushed those, it might be easier to relate to.
"Stackmash costs less than not staying in-the-loop" - I LOVE this line on your pricing page.
Thanks for this advice, I think you are right. I need to find the core, most important use and just demo that. And the pricing page tagline was something I got from Stripe's Atlas guides on pricing, they are so valuable.
API to get notifications on the web service like SaaS?
Pretty much - thanks!
Pretty clear to me. Aggregate my Kindle bookmarks across all my books. Just a heads up, I had a layout issue between ~700px to ~1100px on Safari (the plans boxes are cut off and the headline loses the spacing).
We are going to take a look at this bug! thanks
Personal highlighting aggregator
Organizing all your Kindle highlights in one place. I really like your landing with diagonal grid of books.
Your pricing seems very confusing though. Its either $0.99/month or $9.99/month for a year? I'm thinking you meant for the yearly plan to be $9.99/year?
Thanks for report this error! We fixed it
Yep - I saw and see the same. Definitely, needs to get fixed!

This is an interesting twist to landing page feedback idea...
Let me know what you think about https://scribezest.com
Get podcasts summarized/recycled into blog posts or infographics
Service for extraction text, infographic and other information from audio files? and transform them into articles, videos etc?
Yep. You got it right 🤩
A service that uses humans to convert a podcast into other forms of content (blogs, etc). I assume from the pricing that its not automated.
I'm not a huge fan of the main font choice, makes the product feel too...casual.
Yep. It's done by real humans under administered doses of espresso shots..
I hear what you are saying about the font.. will have a hard look at it again...
Thanks for that feedback. Much appreciated...
Humans will transcribe my podcasts for a monthly fee?
Looks like we didn't do a great job at writing the copy of our landing page. Time to get back to the landing page grind 😥
I only had 10 seconds though!
After closer look, I understood that you were also prettifying it, e.g. making a concise version of everything discussed in a podcast or rendering an infographic out of it.
Some examples would be great though.
And I generally favor more straight-to-point value props. "Blogworthy makeover" may sound cool and hip, but I cannot really guess what you mean unless I read more into it. How about something like "We’ll turn your podcast episode into a gorgeous summary"
I think I understand where you are coming for. Will make the "samples" CTA more prominent. And look at tweaking the above-fold messaging.
Thanks a lot for your inputs 👍
Yep. Also, your answer made me realise something. We actually forgot to edit our product bio on IH. We did start with doing word-for-word transcriptions and then pivoted the offering to repurposing podcasts episodes to blog posts, e-books, snackable social videos and infographics.
Yeah, eye-catching social media posts is where it all is, I think. Good luck!
An art marketplace, for NYC.
A tool to help get art from local artists in NYC.
I second what some of the other comments have said about sprucing the page up, especially since its meant to be about art!
Show some of the art in large, high quality images to draw my interest in. Art is visual, so your landing page should be visually pleasing.
Its art, about art, yet the landing page seems to have so little life. Bland background. Come man, spruce it up!

You write blog posts for companies looking to do content marketing. Your biggest selling point is that you charge a flat monthly fee, regardless of how many blog posts get written.
Copywriting as a service
Not sure from the value prop alone. You write texts for me on some terms that are other than pay-per-character or pay-per-hour?

You organise events, meetups and user groups, as well as provide forums and chat channels for the testing community. Site modelled after Monsters Inc., the movie, giving a vague sense of testers being the monsters, and also them being employed at various large coglomerates (companies), thereby showing symptoms of becoming so specialised to their rarified environments that they turn into colourful, cuddly monsters.
