Post your project. Find your people.

As a developer myself, I've experienced the frustration of having great side project ideas but lacking the diverse skills needed to bring them to life. You might be a brilliant backend developer with an amazing app concept, but you need a frontend developer, a designer, and maybe someone who understands marketing. Or you're a full-stack developer who could use a co-founder with business expertise.

The current solutions are fragmented and inefficient. You end up posting in random Discord servers, hoping someone on Twitter sees your tweet, or trying to convince friends who aren't really interested. Most of these platforms weren't designed for project collaboration - they're either too broad (like Reddit) or too focused on employment (like LinkedIn).

I realized there was a gap in the market for a dedicated space where developers and creators could:

  • Share their side project ideas in detail

  • Clearly specify what roles they need (1 React developer, 1 designer, 1 marketer, etc.)

  • Browse and apply to join projects that match their skills and interests

  • Build meaningful collaborations rather than just one-off gigs

Side Project World exists because I believe the best products come from passionate people working together on ideas they care about. By creating a platform specifically designed for side project collaboration, we're making it easier for developers to find their co-founders, teammates, and bring their ideas to life.

The goal isn't just to connect people - it's to help turn more great ideas into real products that solve real problems.
