I have been reading indiehackers posts for few days. The posts are quite insightful and gives almost a 360 degree knowledge about startups. Besides indiehackers have managed to build a healthy community in which everything is quite structured. I always felt the need of such community for entrepreneurs after using reddit.com and producthunt.com.
I should thank indiehackers meta, for not building features that automatically holds your post for xyz reasons. :D Besides that I should be also thankful to be a part of the community in which makers, designers and marketers from small to big companies brings down their inputs and experience to the community.
I haven't worked in any of the IT companies yet. I did my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and as a nontech person I always craved for building products out of my own ideas. This urge to build products and because I couldn't pay any developer to built my ideas, helped to teach web development (Not coding- I already knew coding quite a bit) to myself.
Now that I have build few internal products and web portal (I used Nodejs, MongoDB stack) for my own organisation after identifying problems there, I have hit a new road block. I found that my earlier ideas about building products to help others are not simple enough or cost effective to build a business out of that product. Later I understood that it is better to ask people who are already working in online IT industry or may be any industry to tell their problems and issues they face. Accordingly, a product that is market fit can be brainstormed.
So, besides doing research about my own ideas to help startups or customers to build a feasible product, I decided to ask the experienced developers, designers, marketers, researchers and finance people to put a list of all the problems that you face in your day to day work instead of letting us guess your problem and make products.
Thanks
