Hey everyone!
A co-founder and I are planning to launch a gas log app next year and we’re looking for feedback ahead of developing the MVP
The Gas Cents app is (will be?) a simple, easy to use gas log that doesn't just tell you your average MPG, but tells you how to actually save money without going out of your way.
We make data entry as simple as taking a picture and save you money by presenting real-time data on the cheapest gas near you--so you don't have to go out of your way to save!
We're actively validating the problem right now and intend to launch in April-ish next year, so -- What would stop you from using the app?
Take a look at this https://fuel.io/ and tell me what would you better than them. Your description exactly matches what this app does really well (and it's free too)
Yeah, Fuelio and Fuelly are the closest to what we're hoping to build
The main differentiator from those two would be OCR for data entry. We want to eventually find a way to proactively recommend cost savings without major routine changes, without just recommending gas nearby. Not yet sure how to skin that cat
fuelio also has OCR for receipt scanning, just saying...
I missed that when researching them, thanks for pointing it out!
