After nearly two decades of market dominance, Google (Alphabet) seems to be losing it's edge:
Google Search is a phantom of what it used to be. Many ChatGPT users have noted that it is far superior search tool, and Microsoft owns 51% of OpenAI. Will Bing pounce on the opportunity to integrate?
Gmail is laggy, slow, and now has ads.
Google Analytics is retiring in June 2023. Most marketers agree that GA4 is an unusable mess, and are only migrating for Google Ads retargeting. By forcing users to adopt GA4, Google has created a market for competitors like Fathom, Plausible, Splitbee, etc.
Google Optimize is also being retired.
Given the above, it wouldn't surprise me to see Google bleeding market share across key product lines by Q2 2023. They still have strong business lines in advertising, smartphones, etc. — but some of their flagship products seem to be en-route to the graveyard.

That doesn't sound too good. The whole google "moonshots" program seems to have been a wasted opportunity. If it was like a savings account for a rainy day, that rainy day has arrived. YouTube is doing well, though. I could see Google potentially coming under pressure to spin-off YouTube as it's own entity in the near future.
