Pricing help? How much would you pay to get coached by other devs while job searching?

Hey Indie,

I lead a community of 6,000 tech job seekers, and could really use some helping thinking about pricing for a more structured job search program to help our members.

We're tired of seeing new devs get such bad advice from their schools, bootcamps & Youtube so we're launching a 'job search accelerator'... taught for devs by devs.

Our current plan is to charge $99 upfront + deferred tuition depending on the type of job you land ($250 for paid internship, $1500 for roles paying 50-70k or contract role paying more, $2500 for permanent software roles > $70K).

Every person on my team is an upskilled dev who has also career coached, and we've individually helped people break into a LOT of companies, from startups to SnapChat to Microsoft.

The program includes (full break down here: https://joinsector.com/join)

  1. Weekly Zoom Job Search & Engineering Classes (Technical Resumes, Virtual Networking for Referrals, Open Source Contributions, Test Driven Development, Agile Development, Advance Deployments, How to Ace Whiteboarding Interviews -or Avoid Them Altogether, Team Collaboration & Code Reviews)
  2. Unlimited chat career coaching from our team & private slack community
  3. Job Search Strategy Call & Resume Review
  4. Technical Interview Playbooks & Employer Specific Playbooks (i.e. compilations of company-specific insights like Basecamp's On Writing Software Well)
  5. An Agile Peer Accountability model (small groups, job search sprints documented on team Github repo, weekly mtgs, technical interview study groups sessions).

Given that most of us here are devs, what are your thoughts on this price point? What are your thoughts on the product itself?

Thanks in advance!
