What's most common these days for pricing pages? This article looked at the pricing pages from 998 startups:
π 78.3% of startups = had a free trial, with 14-days being most popular
π 93.8% of startups = no credit card required upfront
π 3 plans = most popular (41.4%)
The problem with analyses like these is that we don't know at which stage a startup introduced a change.
For eg, you say that "out of the 61.1% of startups that offer an enterprise plan, only 12.3% show pricing right off the bat". But did they start doing this or eventually made this change? Maybe analyzing their pricing history using archive.org would provide the answer. And if it turns out that a lot started with pricing and then migrated to hiding their pricing, this might be a hidden reason behind a new insight.
Pretty interesting. The blog 404'd on me though π
Oh no! Maybe give it another try? I checked just now and it worked for me, maybe they fixed it?
Interesting reading, thanks for sharing!
