I started making these bookmarks for my own personal library. I own a Barbershop, and have an eclectic collection based on recommendations from people from all walks of life. The who, what, when, why became an important part of the content of the book. Due to client requests, I started selling Blue Line Bookmarks in the Barbershop. This year I launched the website to share them with the world. Enjoy!
Does it clearly state what I’m selling?
Does it explain how Blue Line Bookmarks are used?
Does the item page represent my product well?
Is the ordering process low friction?
Would you think to share the site with a friend?
Thank you for feedback.
Cool idea. Initial thoughts: start with a real-world pic. Not a logo. Not a diagram. Real world picture of bookmark in a book, with lots of notes on it. If you do that, I think I'd get it faster.
Also, you're not really selling bookmarks, per se. You are selling a note-taking framework. It's notes while you're reading and a quick reference guide when you're done. It lives in the book forever. That's interesting. I'd lean into these ideas a bit more.
One concern is that your main page of notes is templatized. Users may love the overall idea, but not connect with the specifics in your template. For example, "Wordlist / Explore / Research" doesn't mean much to me, though it might be perfect for someone else. Customization, variety, or "genericizing" the template may help.
Finally, if you do want to go next level, "smart bookmark" makes me think QR codes and notes on google docs. Could be an interesting avenue to explore.
Thank you, all good feedback.
