Private online image tools for non technical people
Hello! I built a pretty "regular" private, online image tools website. But I did it with a twist. I focus on a non technical people.
So essentially my goal was to build as simple UI/UX as possible, assign to all the options sensible default values and provide users with a clear and instant feedback.
From the technical standpoint I decided to use Astro, Cloudflare Pages, Rust + WASM and of course JS/TS/HTML/CSS.

So far I am trying to fight with SEO. Personally I think that my on site SEO game is really strong but link building is really hard. And of course to address the elephgant in the room - the competition is absolutely crazy. I am actually wondering if there is any chance to position a website like that.

The product is cleaner than the name.
“Pufomi” feels random for a utility product where trust and clarity decide the click.
For non-technical users, the name has to reduce friction before the interface does.
Right now the UX is doing the heavy lifting, but the brand is adding ambiguity.
Something cleaner like Lyriso.com would feel easier to trust, easier to remember, and much stronger for a consumer utility people need to come back to.

I love the focus on privacy, but agree with you SEO will be crazy difficult as there are already plenty websites offering the same services, especially since AI made it super easy to create such website
Distribution idea: what about offering this service to companies with strict compliance requirement regarding confidential data? (for example companies handling financial or medical data in the EU). Everybody needs such tools, thus everybody will click on the first link on Google even if it's not respecting privacy, thus confidential data is at risk. If you can get those tools to be the ones to officially use for all employees of a company, then it's a win-win: no need anymore to rely on SEO for you, and the company gets useful tools with the guarantee no confidential data is transmitted
Hi! Thanks for you comment, I did reach out to one company where I had a friend. Unfortunately their security team let me know that there is no chance that they will ever approve a website like that. The problem is that it's close to impossible to validate it, one day it's alright, second day someone posted an update (or a hack) and people data is flying to North Korea.
They told me they could MAYBE approve a desktop software. So I was thinking that I could built a Pufomi Desktop app but so far I decided to check out my SEO chances.
