Product beta, would love opinions
Hey all,
Would love to get your real opinions on the product I've made (web only, for now).
I've made an invite-only professional social app that lets you discover who is immediately around you to meet up with, or you can also explore at a map level.
The idea is simple, you could easily be sitting metres away from a great potential mentor, friend or contact – with Skillmap, you discover them. Furthermore, Skillmap means that you can arrive into a city and discover your people immediately.
Some neat things:

🙈 Appearance-blind – no visuals until you connect with someone, it's just about skills & interests
🤝 Invite and referral-only – ensuring the best quality network

Interesting idea, just signed up, not in Budapest though :)
I'm very interested to see how you would grow this to a critical mass of users? Because I assume initially, the number of people will be very limited to start with in most locations.

Two things I guess:
It's designed to work with physical coworking spaces, using them as a growth rail to get some local traction in each location
For a user, it's designed to still work passively – so someone else may discover you (if you haven't put on ghost mode) and send a meet request / message and you can go from there. This means that even without critical mass (digital nomads are regularly moving), it can still provide value.
I like the design of the website, simple very refreshing. Nobody in my neighborhood yet but I will definitely follow your progress. Good luck!
