Just launched DesignHelp. Here is the quick backstory...
Often, only the larger companies and well-funded startups can afford to hire a product designer to make their software application beautiful and usable.
If you not familiar with product design, it basically boils down to creating a great user experience for software/SaaS users. Unlike communication or marketing design which focuses on sales and leads and branding, product design is 100% focused on users and the how they interact with digital products.
Inspired by services like DesignPickle and DesignJoy (and others), I want to help make product design affordable and accessible for more businesses without the expense and headache of finding and hiring a full time employee.
DesignHelp is a service that offers unlimited product design and UX/UI design as a monthly subscription. My specialty is working with engineers and developers. I help take their powerful software and apply a smart layer of design and usability on top of it.
I purchased the domain name few years ago (I have a small addiction) and after validating, researching and building over the last few months, this morning the site launched live at www.designhelp.io.
Awesome! We are offering the same services as well. I think it would be awesome to focus on UX Research as your niche as this is rarely seen or offered in productized services.. Looking forward to a healthy competition!
Hey Kim - very cool offering you have. I love the idea of UX research as well. That is not my speciality but I definitely see a need for that in the marketplace. Best wishes to you!
