We, at Brightmoat, buy and grow niche B2B SaaS businesses. We love to buy businesses that solve real and urgent problems. Especially for SMBs.
We have just purchased EZ Coordinator in February.
The existing software is a bit clunky and legacy. But we fell in love with the client base. It's an incredible mix of loyal, dedicated, and helping customers. They can't wait to help us re-build EZ to its full potential. We have already received a ton of feedback on how to turbocharge the product. And they are willing to stay as we are re-building it.
The previous owner couldn't dedicate as much time to the product as he wanted due to his other obligations.
But here lies the opportunity. With some consistent product engineering love and the application of the latest stack and best practices, we can transform the legacy software into a great modern niche solution. And above all, it's cash profitable already today.

we've checked your resume and will surely get back to you very soon (we are still discussing a bunch of things related to the role with @DimaD88 and others)
We also plan to migrate the legacy system to a more developer-friendly environment in the next few quarters, and we will be sticking to the AWS stack for the new architecture. things in our mind:
(1) better CI/CD pipeline
(2) better backend language => we prefer a strongly typed language. For now, our heart goes to Golang
(3) rich DB features such as JSON datatype => PostgreSQL

it's entirely built using an old PHP framework with MySQL as the Database, while the frontend is a mix of raw jQuery with some custom native JS logics.
and, for payment, we are planning to use Stripe for our end-to-end subscription dashboard, from storing the customer card to analyzing the MRR growth/churn.
PHP and jQuery, that is old :) you definitely need change of tech but you also need a mobile app attached to this
