Product feedback - Thanks in advance!

Hi All, I'm relatively new in here! Seems to be an awesome community so far 💪

I have seen a lot of people get really valuable feedback, so I thought it was likely worth asking you all for some feedback on the product I've been working on - http://blogwritingservicesuk.com/

I'm primarily looking for feedback on the website, but anything else is appreciated 🤞🙂

Thanks so much in advance, greatly appreciate anyone who takes the time!

One thing I was looking for and did not found on the home page is the areas your writers are experts in. Your clients surely not always look for a general blog content but rather specialize in some niche. While going through the home page I’d likemto be assured that you can provide someone who is ablo to write about my specific niche, either specifically named or not.

Also, I did not really read most of your copy, mostly headers and bulletpoints.

    Best,

Thanks so much for this feedback @slawekp, a really good point RE the niches, and something we'll look to implement!

The content is something we've been back and forth on a lot. I'm a big fan of really short concise bullet points, but in the same breath, we want to show the value we provide and the fact we're awesome writers (through good writing). The longer text was in-part inspired by sites like superhuman.com, who have gone against the current trend of very short bullet point explanations to provide deep insights into where they deliver value. I appreciate we're a million miles from superhuman, but hopefully it illustrates what I mean.

I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on this, as I appreciate we may not yet have it right!

Hello Alex, the things that I noticed:

    • there is a gray horizontal line after the navbar or inside it, i don t get the use of it
    • the text on the hero image is kind of hard to read, maybe tint the image a bit so the texts stands out
    • the vector images are really cool but the content is pretty much to take it, i would make a read more button or just take some of the content out
    • the live price feature is cool, very useful to get a price rigt away but I would style is a bit more, the price right now is just a plain text, idk what to add but it feels like it may need something
    • the 4 icons in the extras section seem pretty cheap, try to keep the same style of vector icons and images in the page, my opinion
    • the about section again is a lot of content
    • the newsletter could use a bit of styling, the green bar with the title is a little off
    • maybe you could try other fonts also, see what feels good

Take these with a grain of salt, I m not a ui/ux expert, I just pointed out elements that I think can use some more work, other than that the website sends the message, I understood what your company does.

Hey @alexxozo, thanks so much for this feedback, I agree with a lot of the points made, and we've already rolled out a number of changes following your feedback (and that of others). With that in mind thanks again, it's truly appreciated and shall hopefully help us get things closer to where they need to be!

Great website Alex! A few things I noticed, although I'm no expert in UX, but I have worked with many UX designers, content writers, marketing,... over 10+ years, and one thing that always comes up is that you really need to avoid putting lots of text in landing pages, and more actionable items, or call-to-actions.

There's a lot of information to digest, would you consider just making a list of what really stands up, and trim the description to less than 250 characters? Also bullet point lists are something very veeery useful.

I did like the "How does it work? It's simple..." section, I think it should be on top rather than after the "feature" section.

The "calculator" section, could be in a different part of the landing page, different site, or modal, or make it waaaay simpler and easier to use.

"Other really awesome extras!" Maybe here's where you need a list rather than tiles with icons, icons are really unnecessary here.

"Examples of work from our UK based content writers" This could be condensed, most likely a different page, or even consider a carousel.

Overall I feel it could really be a little bit more organized, and have a more actionable item in the hero section, BTW text is hard to read with the background image.

Other than that I think you're in the right track :)

@BrunoBologna, you're an absolute hero! Thanks so much for putting so much time into this response. I totally agree with all of your points, and we'll be rolling out changes in line with your suggestions.

I'm also really glad you mentioned shifting the 'how does it work' up, as it's something we've been debating doing for the last couple of weeks. So you've validated that change :)

Thanks again Bruno. If I can be of any help with anything on your end, just let me know :).

Alex, your webpage is fantastic! Although I am not an expert in UX, I have worked with many UX designers, content writers, marketers, and so on over the last ten years, and one thing that constantly comes up is that you should avoid putting a lot of text in landing pages in favour of more actionable, or notify.
