For over a month, I've been working full time on scoping out and validating a solution to a problem that I've encountered while working as the founding product manager of a B2B SaaS start up in Berlin. There's a lot of appetite from the market as well as investors and I'm looking for a technical co-founder to join me on this adventure! 👀

Hi @petrovn, it's hard to have businesses that want my solution before there's an actual solution. 😄
However, most of the companies I talked to so far asked me to keep them closely updated on the progress because they would love to have a solution to their problem so - yes, there's strong interest from the market to use a solution if there's one. 🙏🏼
Of course, there's a difference between showing interest and putting money where you're mouth is but I'm confident that if we get an MVP out in the market fast we can iterate towards a useful solution that companies are willing to pay for.
I have spent the last 10 years building custom solutions for businesses, half of the solutions were purchased when there was not a single line of code written.
That was actually one of the perks of the sale, the customer was part of the design of the product they purchase.
"asked me to keep them closely updated on the progress because" = we will not spend money at all for this or "I'm expecting that will be 20-30$" practically the same as no money at all.
This "I'm confident that if we get an MVP out in the market fast we can iterate towards a useful solution that companies are willing to pay for." is practically what is wrong with most sales/marketing people here, yes it is easy to sale if you have the perfect product but to do that you need to invest stupid amounts of money, no one will give you the money to waste on building the perfect product (excluding some investors that just bet you can do something, but nowadays there are not a lot of gambling investors).
When you sell to businesses the important thing is to sell the idea + a reasonable payment schedule and not to target small businesses, they are worse than an end customer.
If you manage to talk to the actual decision-makers you will see that money are nonissue when you solve a real problem, even when you are talking a large amounts of money.

First of all, not sure if you need to be calling out people for being wrong here in this community. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to build a business. Or if you have the million dollar guide on how to do it in a fool proof way please enlighten us. Otherwise constructive feedback will do. ☺️
Secondly, didn’t talk about spending stupid amounts on building the perfect product. Rather find someone to go on this adventure together while we build a first MVP (in the next 2 weeks based on the user feedback/insights I’ve gathered so far) while selling in parallel and get the first customers on board and build the product out further together with them. 🙏🏼
