I just set up my IH profile and wanted to introduce what I'm working on — honestly, not as a launch success story.
TusGleich is a task app I built because existing ones made me feel worse, not better. More features, more guilt, more noise. I wanted the opposite: get things out of my head, focus on Today, feel lighter.
The name comes from a hand-carved wooden sign that said "Tu's Gleich" — do it now, not someday, not when everything's perfect.
It's a full product now: iOS, Android, Web, macOS, offline sync, shared lists for couples/families. I use it every day myself.
The Streak feature helped me to stop procrastinating. I use it for training. I have never trained so hard.
Product Hunt brought zero signups.
So I'm not here to share growth tips. I'm here because I built something I believe in and clearly haven't figured out distribution yet.
I'm wondering: Is "another todo app" just impossible to launch cold, no matter how different the positioning?
If you're curious: tusgleich.app — there's a demo mode, no email needed.
Would love to hear from anyone who launched in a crowded category with no traction at first. What did you actually try that moved the needle?
The zero-signup result makes the positioning question real.
What’s the strongest reason someone has given for switching from their current todo app?
