Product Hunt Launch Results - Moderate to Low Traction

This week, I launched the Software Engineering Unlocked Podcast on Product Hunt.

Here are the results:
The launch went reasonably well. My number one goal was to learn what it means to launch something on Product Hunt. So, yeah, that worked out well :-)

Apart from that, I wanted to spread the word about the podcast. I achieved that goal partially. Some new people heard about the podcast, but the reach and traction were moderate to low.

But, and that's the biggest but, the launch had also an unexpected side effect: many people from the communities I'm part of - including many people from the Indie Hacker Community, Party Corgi, Open Podcast and WomenMake - showed up to support me and that felt fantastic.

So, thank you all so much for that. I wrote more about the launch results including the stats here: https://www.hustleup.io/product-hunt-launch-results/

Nice, thanks for sharing the results.

We have done 3 PH launches recently, just wrote a blog post as well on them https://versoly.com/blog/lessons-learned-3-successful-product-hunt-launches if you want to check it out :)

Congrats on the launch! The podcast looks like something that I would enjoy listening to, I just subscribed to it on Overcast and I'll add it to my list of morning commute podcasts!

One note on the website, the caption to the side of your first picture is aligned strangely and wrapping to the next line on my screen. Not sure if you rolled your own CSS for the site or note, but figured I'd point out the little irk there. I'm using a 1440p 21:9 ultrawide monitor fwiw, so the resolution might not be a normal one to test for.

Good for you! It’s a shame Product Hunt did away with the dedicated podcast page, I found it very useful for finding interesting podcasts.
