Is submitting to BetaList worth it?
BetaList doesn’t give you as much traffic as Product Hunt gives you. But BetaList has its own advantages. While BetaList allows you to launch even landing pages, ProductHunt sometimes flag products with just landing pages. Ideally, BetaList is for products that are in Beta phase and so, they do allow landing pages. On the other hand, Product Hunt is meant for actual products that can be used.
But the problem with Beta List (free plan) is that you have to wait at least 6 weeks before it gets published. So, the first thing that you can do is to submit the landing page to BetaList and then wait until it gets published and run other activities like blog posting, reaching out to users etc during this 6 weeks. When it comes to ProductHunt, you can launch anytime you want.
While BetaList is not as big as ProductHunt, you can still get a good milage if you can get a few votes as soon as you are live on BetaList.
