Product Pricing experimentation

How would my existing paid customers think/react if I am experimenting with the product pricing after I have sold an yearly subscription to them and then lower my price for the next set of customers.

    Assuming you don't cut the price in half or something like that, they'll probably be a bit grumpy, but okay in the end. It happens all the time with subscriptions that are trying to lure in new customers (cable, internet, etc.).

      Thanks @TheovdZee

      People are very sensitive to what they perceive as an unfair price for them. There are various tactics for dealing with this, including

      1. make the price drop just temporary;
      2. lower the price for everyone and give time credits to those who paid already;
      3. make a lower tier service with lower cost and some features removed.

        Hi @nictuku. I agree to the last 2 points, but what did you imply by the first point.

          Previous buyers are more likely to be OK if you lower the price temporarily as part of a promotion (e.g: "limited offer with a 20% discount to celebrate our company's 1000th customer").

            Yeah that sound more like it. Thanks @nictuku :)
