Product review

I'm thinking of designing/developing one product called CommuX, which is multi-disciplinary directory/community.
For example in one app you might have access of multiple communities like office, neighbors, colleagues, etc. So you don't have to worry about saving their contacts and all. Is it a phesible idea?
