Productivize - Issue #11

Sharath Kuruganty @5harath

Hey there ūüĎč Happy Monday! Each week Productivize is something I look forward to as it gives me an opportunity to sharpen my product mind and provide value to you all at the same time. Thank you for reading and learning with me ūüôŹ

Just a quick update on¬†Shoutout¬†before we dive in, I'm super pumped to let you know that it has crossed 200 beta sign-ups on the waitlist ūüôŹ I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who is helping to validate my idea and giving a chance to serve you! Right now, I'm working on V1 and soon will roll out the beta invites in batches. If you are not on the waitlist get on it¬†here.

That's the update I wanted to share and now let's get started with this issue ūüĎá

How Customers Adopt Products

Alexander Osterwalder from Strategyzer shares a tool called Forces Diagram that can help you to see why some customers may want to switch to using your solution over what they're currently using. The framework really helps understand the adoption or potential adoption of new value propositions. Read here.

Thematic roadmapping, in practice

Instead of giving roadmaps with specific dates and particular features, Chris Butler suggests coming up with themes as they are real customer problems collected to be attacked on a per sprint basis. This article is packed with insightful guidelines on how roadmapping is done right and why to focus on the problems you are solving, not the solutions. Read here.

Everything you need to know about Product Walkthroughs

In the increasingly important world of product education, product walkthroughs have risen to the top of the stack as one of the most effective ways to get your users to their "Aha!" moments. In this article, the UserGuiding team will focus on the part of product walkthroughs in the user onboarding of web apps and web products. Read here.

Otter is that next level leveraging of voice and past convos. I haven't taken the time to organize it for myself but something I want to do in the future!

I heard a lot about Otter. My plan is to use it for Productivize interviews.
