I’m looking for a full-stack developer to help me grow a programmatic SEO site in the healthy food niche from 2k pages to 20k pages and beyond. The site is already built, looks fantastic and is generating 750k impressions per month and 1,000 - 1,500 visits per day. Revenue potential is easily 5 figures a month. User feedback has been very positive and there are some very interesting SaaS and Web3 options where we can take this long-term. I’ve also raised some friends and family investment for the project.
I recently migrated to a new tech stack: headless WordPress and Nuxt front-end (hosted on Kinsta & AppEngine). This is great because we’re no longer constrained in what we can build, but I don’t have the tech chops to do it myself so I’m looking to partner with an experienced developer.
My idea is to start with a project-based engagement to see if there is a good fit but my ideal candidate is open to eventually moving from paid engagements to a partnership in exchange for equity + revenue share.
The initial project will be to implement some modifications that will allow us to generate more landing pages and monetize the site more effectively. For example:
-Since we migrated from vanilla WP to Headless WP + Nuxt, the site performance (LCP) and server response is very slow with ads on the page. Need to implement ads without this huge performance drop. (GCP, Kinsta)
-We need to create certain filters for our data and then display that filtered data on our landing page templates. We are already doing this, just need some specific tweaks. (Wordpress API, Advanced Custom Fields, Nuxt SSR)
-Generate templated text based on inputs from dataset. (Javascript, GPT3)
-Use custom post types + advanced custom fields to create affiliate offers in the backend, custom css to display offers on the front-end seamlessly, and rules/logic to display the right offers on the right pages.
-Integrate comments into the site using Hyvor Talk or similar platform.
-Build front-end for the blog… content will be published in WP backend, need blog templates designed and coded for Nuxt front-end.
Looking forward to telling you more about the project and roadmap!
@venturemedley how did this project go in the end?
Hello Andrew,
What is the URL of the website?
For content based website that require great SEO, I am still a fan of simple html/css with the backend (PHP in your case) rendering the page.
Basically, a SEO targeted / content heavy website should work and render properly when javascript is disabled. We call this "Resilient Web".
Fell free to contact me so I can take a look at your website.
Hi Michael,
Good advice! Just to be clear, by programmatic SEO, I meant the strategy used by startups like TripAdvisor, Thumbtack, Zapier, Canva, etc to publish thousands of landing pages at scale and target millions of keywords at once. I'll email you with more info!
