When building early-stage products, it’s tempting to chase perfection, the perfect design, flawless features, or a “polished” launch.
But perfection often kills momentum. Waiting too long means missing feedback, wasting time, and delaying real learning.
Our approach now:
The goal isn’t a perfect product, it’s a product that actually works for users.
Curious, how do you balance speed vs. quality in your early projects?
Agreed! One way I balance speed vs quality is by setting 2–3 week deadlines for new features and handling fixes as they arise. When I get excited about a new idea, I pause and ask: ‘Does this need to be prioritized now? Does it align with my current sprint?’ If not, it goes to the backlog. This helps me stay consistent while keeping momentum.
