Hey IndieHackers!
The journey of building MyFitTrainingPlan.com continues. It’s still early days, but I’ve been listening closely to user feedback (especially here on IH) and tweaking the site’s wording to sound more natural and appealing. Nothing drastic — just refining how we communicate the value of personalized workout plans.
💡 One of my current priorities is adding a blog system to the site. My goal is to start attracting users organically through search — no black-hat SEO, no spammy tactics. Just helpful, readable fitness content that could actually help someone at the right time.
📉 On the marketing front, I experimented with promoting posts via X.com (Twitter), selecting “web traffic” as the target. Result? Zero new followers, zero magic. 😅
🤖 But on the bright side, I set up a motivational auto-bot on my local machine — it posts inspirational fitness quotes every 3 hours (sometimes with a link back to the site). My PC runs 24/7 anyway, so I figured… why not let it hustle too?
Next steps:
Launch the blog system
Start writing evergreen fitness content
Maybe test a different ad format (suggestions welcome!)
And yeah… maybe sleep once in a while
Thanks for reading! If you’re also in the early-stage grind, let me know how you’re getting traffic to your site — I’m all ears 👂
You're doing a great job by listening to users and planning to add a blog. That will really help with Google traffic over time. I also think writing helpful fitness posts is a smart move.
Ads can be tricky — maybe try ones that show your site to people who visited before (retargeting). Sometimes that works better than just sending traffic.
Thank you.
I am already add a blog function and i strongly belive it will increase my visibility in internet. Right now i adding a post with information for beginners and explain few calculators that i have on website. Like how to use it and etc.
