PWAs are the backbone of our lifestyle today. Have you ever realized the extent of dependency we have on PWA or Progressive Web Apps? As we know mobile devices are going to be the future of the world, and tech people are more focused on mobile to reach out for their products.....
I haven't seen that PWA got any traction based on the demand. Yes, they are valuable but the end consumer never used them as intended, everyone preferred application from the store. Chrome at some time pushed it to users to install them but I don't see those prompts anymore.
As I worked in a service company, many clients that came always asked for React Native / Native app and not for PWA.
I use Twitter PWA daily, and it was probably the only one where I was really impressed to use it.
It was hype initially, but I never saw that people were sold to it. I would rather want to see head-to-head metrics between native and PWA apps in usage, that would be interesting.
Many other websites are using PWA, because it is easy to create a random prototype in PWA, for native or hybrid applications we need more time for the design.
Yeah I know, but from the user perspective, I think it's much lower, consumers don't even know what is PWA, and most of them install the native app. That's at least what I'm seeing outside of the tech world.
