I'm trying out an experiment where we flip the script on hiring. Instead of starting with candidates, start with projects that align with what you need.
So if you need to build a React app with a Python Flask API, find projects with those things and filter for developers.

This isn't meant to be for everyone. I don't have any illusion that FAANG companies are going to change their hiring process and jump onboard but I think it can be a great solution for shot term hires/contract roles that are project based usually and it's also a way for talented developers such as on IH who build cool stuff to stand out and get noticed.
Would love any feedback and if y'all would sign up and submit projects. Right now it's all brand new so you have a chance to stand out. :)
Thanks,
I like this a lot, and I don't think you need to market it towards contract work. I'm sure a lot of companies, even FAANG would like to recruit based on what people have used in real projects as well as the quality of the projects themselves. This could definitely streamline the process of finding legit and good candidates when used in tandem with their current hiring process.
This is a cool idea.
A few notes:
Overall, really great idea, with lots of potential if you can execute it well.
I only see two projects in the list, and clicking on either of them is broken
Ah good catch. Fixed that now. Thanks.
This is really amazing idea you need to hire any person of the field on project base it will provide more benefit to you and the developer I also hired a developer for my furniture removals website you can see here.

Yeah I agree that would happen. That's why my target audience would be small businesses or the non technical guy who wants to hire a dev or short term or contract roles at companies where the risk of a bad hire is mitigated.
I actually back tracked from enforcing any culture of no tech interviews since there are groups of devs (especially fresh bootcamp graduates) who would actually be fine with tech interviews but have a harder time getting through the HR screen. For them it can be a win just getting through the first round based on their projects.
