Project status website? #idea-validation

I have been freelancing for a few years now. One problem that bothers me is how clumsy it is right now to show your client how much progress you are making. Yes, there are project managers where it can be done. But that is too big a deal for solo freelancers.
Let me give you a perspective. Suppose, I am given a project to work on. I start with a repo on github and begin coding. Slowly features are being added and this shows up in GitHub repo. But I don’t want to show the client the codes (for obvious reasons), I just want to show them what features are added and what I am currently working on. AFAIK, it’s only possible if you use a project manager (where you have to write the details once again) or if you communicate via email.
So how about a website that syncs with your GitHub repo and create a single beautiful web page that shows the progress? Would you use such a website?
