Projects with strangers on Core - Week 4 ~46 hours work

I am building projects with strangers. I wrote a post on indie hackers looking for cool people that were looking to create projects together. The post got 24 people replied. I sent every person an email.

The Active joiners were people that wanted to collaborate on small projects and to get to market as soon as possible.

Now we had to agree on an idea to do. So we collected our ideas in a database and described what our go-to-market strategy looked like. We collected a couple of them until we could agree on one that more then 2 people wanted to do.

We settled on an initial idea and then started doing market research the initial idea turned out to be pretty saturated and so we kept pivoting until we had something. The team consisted of 3 programmers and to make sure that we complimented each other I decided to become the marketing head for the project.

We decided to create a LinkedIn content creator using GPT-3. This process took around 1.5 weeks. In future, it would go much faster because we generated new ideas already by building the system this far.

Now since we couldn’t invest equal amounts of time we measured contribution to the project by how much time each person spent.

To do this we set out a number of goals that allowed for the creation of tasks under them.

In the following 2 weeks, we completed around ~46 hours of work and invested 60 Euros into a domain name.

We are close to 70% to getting our first customer. With the landing page, product and marketing strategy being close to ready.
