Hey guys! Coming from the traditional marketing world for big enterprises with more or less traditional products (services) I'm a bit lost with my new did.
I'm responsible for a super badass indie game, a visual political novel. It's a bit cryptic, a bit dystopian - I know it's gonna be a blast, I liked the game myself a lot (and I can't say I'm a big fan of this genre, so...)
The competition in gaming is insane and our budget is crazy limited. Unfortunately, I came to the company when the game had been already decided to publish, so I couldn't be involved in market analysis.
Any ideas? Sources? Would love to pick someone's brain!
go to reddit, /r/gamedev is full of precious information about everything, including marketing a game.
As an indie gamedeveloper, good luck, it really is insane!
