Prompt to PCB: I built Tovan after months of failing at hardware

I had a hardware product idea a few years ago. I knew what I wanted to build but had no idea how to turn it into a real circuit board. I assumed I could figure it out and I eventually did (thanks Youtube) but it was painful and expensive.

I spent months learning KiCad, reading datasheets, ordering boards that didn't work, and starting over. At the same time, I was learning how to make a 3D printable enclosure and 20 iterations later, I still had it wrong. The idea was simple. The path to a prototype was not.

That experience stuck with me and I think a lot of great ideas never get built because building a prototype is just too hard and expensive for a solofounder.
