Proper list of indie makers on Twitter & How to automate it

Hi guys,

I created a list of makers on IH on Twitter, who are looking to connect with each other. Here is the list https://twitter.com/i/lists/1276329648335405056

Since we are keen to connect with people, the list only contains public and personal profiles. Which means no private, product, or brand profiles.

You can open the members list and connect with each of the members!

P/s: In case anyone wants to be added on the list, please leave your twitter here. Or send me a message on IH or Twitter.

In case you only need the list, skip the following content. They are about:

  • A script I wrote to extract Twitter usernames
  • Another script to automatically follow people on a Twitter list

@anilkilic pointed out this post might violate the terms of use of IH. So I removed the automated part of this post

Tips to get all username quickly and Follow members on the list automatically has been removed

    neat.

there is a limit to follow people, will this stop or just follow any?

    1. 2

I've added checking for daily limits. Thanks for for pointing it out :)

    2. 2

Hmmm, the code doesn't have the limit yet. It'll follow anyway, so might need to keep an eye on it :)

        Wow , that's awesome man.

It happen to me once I follow the followers of my personal account and my product lost the account....

@Michael_Andreuzza That's terrible. I think following back the followers should be be treated as usual

Very cool idea for using a little automation to make your life easier! I'm thinking this can be expanded to follow any specific industry or community that somebody may be interested in!

Would you mind if I expanded on your idea and created my own post along the same line of thinking? I'd probably use Python instead of JS as that's what I'm more familiar with.

    1. 2

      Sure, go a head.

I used JavaScript because I wanted to try it right on the browser. Python are nice too 👍

    why recursion? :D

There was another way to write the script with loop and promise (or await). And I didn't like loop and promise much :D

I also did not put too much thought on the code

    Its all broken links now..

Very nice! I was about to do this yesterday since the list was so long to do manually.
