Q: How do you collect user feedback on the beta of your app or feature?

When launching a beta version of your application or feature:

  1. How do you find/select beta users?
  2. How do you manage feedback collection?
  3. What is the trickiest part of the process?

    1. Ask directly my friends or followers on Twitter that fit the persona.
      In my case solo founders
    2. With a simple form/survey tool like Tally or Typeform
    3. Getting enough feedback that is relevant without overwhelming with questions.

Good luck if youre building something that solves this problem. 🚀

Yes I'm starting a side project to improve feedback experience on beta testing for both users and founders. On market research phase now. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hello! Here's my experience:

How do you find/select beta users?

    • Spent time on reddit communities - most successful
    • Posted Sidekick on beta listing sites (ex. Betalist)
    • Reached out to small productivity bloggers to try it out

How do you manage feedback collection?

    • We have a discord channel where people post their bugs and ideas!

What is the trickiest part of the process?

    • Finding the time to quickly make the improvements they want
    • Telling them that we're only 2 people and please understand the time needed! - everyone was very receptive though.
