QRGenLabs — Free QR Code Generator for Small Businesses

Hey everyone! I'm building QRGenLabs (qrgenlabs.com) — a free QR code generator built specifically with small businesses in mind.

What makes it different:

  • Static QR codes free forever — no expiry, no credit card

  • Custom logo embedding + brand colors

  • PNG and SVG export

  • Dynamic QR codes with real time scan analytics (paid)

  • Works for URL, vCard, WiFi, UPI payments, and more

Perfect for restaurants needing digital menus, businesses replacing paper cards, or anyone running print campaigns who wants to track results.

Would love feedback from small business owners — what QR features matter most to you?

    Interesting space.

The thing I'd be careful with is assuming the feature decision is the important one.

Static QR codes are easy to understand. Dynamic QR codes and analytics are where the business starts, but also where the buyer has to decide whether they care enough to pay.

The useful decision may be less about QR functionality and more about what has to happen before a small business feels the need to track scans in the first place.

I wouldn't make that call casually in-thread because it changes the positioning, upgrade path, and who the product should speak to first.

Good point. I think analytics become important only after businesses start seeing QR codes as a marketing tool rather than just a way to share information.

        Possibly.

The reason I stopped short earlier is that I don't think the interesting part is the analytics themselves.

I think it's the decision sitting underneath that observation.

I wouldn't try to unpack that properly in a thread.

If you'd like the tighter version, drop your email and I'll put it together properly.
