If it's a company blog, I'm not sure that adding ads is a good idea.
When I see ads in a blog of a company, it sounds ULTRA cheap for me. Maybe it's just me....

Cmon just put it out dont hesitate. After its performing somehow, you can experiment with placements, or just let adsense do it with automatic placements. Dont overthink it, there is just a little upside for the creative energy you spend on it.

Yes, Ive tried AdSense automated ads, which does the experimenting on your behalf. To be honest I havent tried any alternatives to this, so I cant tell if thats the best A/B testing tool, but hey Google also needs to maximize its income so I believe its not that bad.
You could check out Ezoic. For our site Sales Loves Marketing it brings a lot more revenue than Google Ads.
