How do you plan and schedule your social media posts? Do you have a calendar of next hashtags days relevant to your brand like #worldphotographyday this Thursday, #nationaldogday on Sunday, etc.? Where do you keep a list of useful hashtags for your brand?
I was thinking of creating a solution to facilitate and display the upcoming hashtags based on dates. Would that be useful?
As a marketer, I am driven by the data and in regards to social media, go with what your user love most and helpful.
No one cares about Worldsphotography day but if you give something people to smile and share it to their friends. That’s the real social interaction and that’s what big brands doing it so long if you do some research.
You don’t have to post 10 posts per day but just 1 that has good connection with your users.
Also about the tool, if you are a big buck guy then you buy all those schedule tools like buffer, hoot suite etc. I used those tools and doesn’t worked well with engagement.
About hashtags, you have to mix up both trending today, your product terms, and all time trending. This helps you engagement and reach always. I use this strategy almost every client and it works good.
So I suggest be consistent , helpful and try to be human as possible with your followers.
We almost always the same hashtags as it's reaching the right audience with high engagement on our types of post. So these are just copy-pasted into each new schedule post. To schedule them we use a tool named Hootsuite in which we sometimes schedule 10-20 posts/day and work approximately one week forward. When we test new hashtags, we keep track of them and old ones in a GSheet together with the # followers and engagement.
Sometimes we keen be ad hoc with specific dates, but this doesn't really need a separate tool. Google calendar reminders are already sufficient.
Something similar to https://buffer.com/resources/hashtag-manager wouldn't help at all?
It would help a little. But it's really solving something that's just two mouse click and 1 cop/paste action away. It's nice to have, but wouldn't pay for that separately or see it as the differentiator to be honest.
