    Kinda generic, don't you think?

The truth is, most indies aren't seeing good results from ads because they haven't gotten close to product-market fit yet.

Spending on ads before PMF is equivalent to flushing money down the drain.

On the contrary, this is actually a deep dive :)

If you don't have a pmf yet, you can use paid ads in a different way to evaluate your hypothesis. This list is for those who already have a pmf and run ads :)

PS: The group where I posted this is called GROWTH, how can you grow a product without an audience that wants to use it? ;)

Wow, really, downvoted for expressing an opinion?

The group may be called GROWTH, but the site is called INDIE HACKERS.

Most people here are obviously pre-PMF, including myself.

If they're post-PMF, they're probably too busy to hang out here.

The fact is that running ads before having good word-of-mouth/reviews (which is 1 of many indicators of PMF) is just premature, it doesn't matter if they follow your checklist to a T.

I'm more surprised that you didn't make 1 mention about having product-market fit before even running ads.

I made myself clear already, if you don't see the value in the knowledge I share you can skip and move on :)
